"You're so spirited." Came the much taller woman's reply. "I knew you'd be perfect." She didn't seem at all perturbed by her guest's precociousness.
The shrunken college student thrust her hands to her hips. "Perfect for what? You still haven't told me what this is all for!"
Nicole tittered. "You'll get your payment at the end of the four weeks. The ad was very clear, sweetie."
"Don't call me that." The tiny blonde snapped. "And your ad didn't specify that I'd end up like..." She left the sentence unfinished, groaning. "Can you at least make me a little bigger? Getting around like this is decidedly not fun!"
Nicole set down her bags, barely looking at her little experiment. "You're missing something, Millie - its decidedly fun for me."
The tiny woman pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration and sat down on the edge of the chair, her toes just shy of the carpet. "What kind of scientist are you anyway?"
Nicole didn't miss a beat. "The tall kind." She leaned against the doorframe, one hand on her hip. "Don't look so down. I've actually got a few things we need to run through - for research purposes, of course."
Millie looked over her shoulder and up at her unachieved goal, her plan to access the size altering device foiled... for now. "Fine. What do I need to do?"
Nicole's eyes traced to where she had set down her shopping bags, grinning at the contents that Millie was blissfully unaware of...
