How much does a written story add for you?

I really enjoy writing short stories and captions for my work, but it is an extra bit of lift on my end. I was curious how much the written story adds to your enjoyment or is it just the visuals that you like most? Do you think the one offs without the stories would be missing something? Or if less stories meant more one offs, would that be a plus for you?
Obviously, this question just applies to the one off renders I post - my ongoing series will continue to have my writing accompany them! Feel free to expand on your answer in the comments!

2022-12-24 07:26:59 +0000 UTCLove your one offs, as it offers to quickly jump in an awesome story-scene. Your writing is impressive and I envy you for this. But it is also sometime a bit much, volume speaking. So my complete Answer is: Story yes absolutely please (as pictures alone just leave the reader to much in the dark about the characters and their motivaiton), but sometime a bit less text for each picture and instead 1-2 pics more for this story-scene.

2022-12-04 16:48:37 +0000 UTCI'm biased since stories are all I really have to offer, but I like them. That being said, not every story needs to be a full on 700-word/chapter production. A one-off with a 30-word caption can be just as satisfying and easier to produce.

Now onto a more serious matter... ;) Who's been keeping Ivana at shoebox storage height? We all know she is far more creative when her size is set to keep her just outside of door handle reach. 😉

I look forward to reading your stories as it gives context to the pictures. I encourage you to do whatever you feel is appropriate though. The stories are not something I would consider integral for me to remain a patron, but I do appreciate the work and effort you put into them.
