Small Escalations

Emma couldn't believe what was happening.

But for now, her belief wasn't the issue.

She had moved back home for the weekend to look after her younger sister, Nina, and had fully expected that to go as it always had. However, her sibling was older now - able to drink in their country - and told Emma she had a party to go to that night. The older of the pair knew for a fact that Nina was coming up to a crucial assignment and based on the exchanges Emma had had with their mother, the youngest sibling wasn't performing to the standard their family was used to.

Emma had always been the golden child of the family - with the best grades, the best job, the best prospects. The older sibling told her younger sister that she could only go to the party if she finished up her work.

Nina had been incensed. She hadn't been talked to like that since she had been a small child, and Emma's haughty attitude was the final straw. The younger of the two reached for an amulet given to her by her wiccan friends - friends her family had told her to stop hanging around and decided to try something; something bold.

"I think you should try being the little sister, Emma!"

Surprising both of them, it worked.

Emma had dwindled before Nina's very eyes, shrinking to the size she had often made her younger sister feel over the years. Her clothes collapsed from her frame, and the immediate panic had only hastened the discarding.

Emma was confused, terrified, furious. Nina thought it was hilarious.

The now shrunken sister demanded she be 'fixed', and Nina assured her that would (presumably) be doable, but the younger of the pair had an inspired idea as she looked down at the flustered golden child.

Nina announced she'd be going to the party, and that she'd turn Emma back after she got home, but only if her sister had completed her assignment in full. The pair flung insults back and forth as an argument raged, but finally Emma's attitude was silenced by threats of further magical retribution. In the face of that, the older woman had no retort.

Nina had tired of her sister's nudity, and fetched a t-shirt from her young teenage years for her to to wear. Emma was beyond embarrassed, but tried to stay logical - she had a masters degree in the same sphere of study as Nina's assignment, if she got the simple assignment done, then she could get back to normal and get through this insanity.

Nina got dressed, and left for the party, locking the door to her room from the outside. As she strode from the house, she clasped the amulet once more and decided to make her sister's life a tad more difficult.

'Emma can't remember her study from university, and her academic mind is that of her high school self.'

Was that counter-productive? Sure - but it was hilarious.

Back in the room, Emma clambered onto her sister's seat, realizing she'd have to be on her knees to reach the desk. She looked at the figures and theorems spread across the first page of the already-started assignment. Why was it all so confusing? This should be child's play to her!

Emma tried to draw on her formidable intelligence, her years of study and work and found... nothing! Just enough to basically understand what she was looking at - which was a veritable drop in the ocean of her actual knowledge.

The shrunken sister felt surges of anger and humiliation rise to the fore of her mind, this was going to be a long night.

That model is fantastic, hope to see her more.

Amazing story, the frustration Emma's feeling is palpable! The renders are as usual phenomenal, I love that Nina just left Emma's big girl clothes there.
