Revised Relationship

“Don’t pout, you knew what you were in for when you took that drink.” Rachel sang sweetly, bending slightly and putting her fists against her hips. “You’re a ‘professional’ right? I can’t imagine any ‘real big-shot’ making such a rookie mistake, can you?”

Chloe winced, her feet kicking idly in space. Rachel’s enormous smirk burned through every remaining ounce of resolve the blonde possessed. She folded her arms under her bust, looking away from the titan before her. The call-backs striking at her wounded psyche like embers cast from a bonfire.

“Rachel! This isn’t funny!” She pouted, if felt like a rock slammed into the roof of her mouth as it rocketed out of her belly. Her fingernails dug into the bare skin of her upper arms, the cuff’s on her wrist clung tightly in place.

Rachel burst into a laugh, giving the tip of one bunny ear a flick with a dog sized digit. The impact caused the headband to scratch her temple as it bounced back into place. “Au contraire! She beamed. “This… is hilarious.” She swung the enormous finger in a wide circle about the little blonde woman.

Chloe’s face burned as she puffed out her cheeks. “Rachel! I’m stuck like this, FOREVER!” She squealed, her voice as tight and tinny to herself as it probably sounded to the large Personal Assistant. “My career is over! You’re mocking me, forcing me to wear this ridiculous outfit!” She trembled as she pressed the plastic shoes into the edge of the desk drawer. “No one cares! Can’t you just leave me alone!”

Rachel stood back to her full height, folding one arm under her bust as she regarded the shrunken blonde with malevolence. “Oh I know. I did try to warn you though.”

Chloe nearly bit the tip of her tongue clean off. She clutched her body tight, staring down at the floor far below her. Rachel shifted on her feet, bringing her body closer to the desktop Chloe had perched upon. “Stupid bitch.” She whispered, forcing herself to look away, her gaze fell on a strange little figurine with fox ears and a tail, and picture frame propping up the figure of some ancient videogame character. Rachel's bedroom was as juvenile as she was.

Rachel’s subtle giggling froze and the bus sized converse far below shifted on the trailer floor. “Did you say something?”

Chloe’s face went pale as her head snapped upwards. Rachel’s eyebrow was arched, that scalpel thin smirk still leering down at her. “No!” Her voice cracked as she looked up at her former PA.

“I don’t believe you, but you’ve had a rough embarrassing day. So I’ll let it slide.” Rachel said calmly, swinging her purse beside her. Emptying it’s contents in a heap on the desktop beside her. “Alright, get in. Time to go shopping.”

“Wai..!” Her sentence stalled in her throat.

She rubbed the back of her neck with one hand. ‘You don’t have a choice Chloe. You’re gonna have to be nice to her from now on.’ Her subconscious chided her. Chloe stared at the empty waiting purse, cringing.

“No ‘buts’ now. For the time being, you belong to me. Now be a good bunny doll and get in.” Her voice was dripping with joy and cruelty.

Chloe rested her chin on her hand, idly rubbing the top of her left shin with a free hand. Meekly, she pressed herself forward, feeling the plastic of her shoe’s catch upon the satin interior.

The bag had been gliding along her legs before it was pulled down as Rachel suddenly dropped the bag an inch or so. Chloe squealed and thrashed her arms desperate to catch anything that might keep her safe. The movement shifted Chloe’s center of gravity and the little bunny girl tumbled into the soft confines with a dull thud.

She shot to her feet, her chest heaving as she sucked air into the back of her throat rapidly. She was seeing stars as she looked up at Rachel from within the delicate bag. “H-hey! What’s the big idea!?”

Rachel tilted her head to one side, her brown hair sliding off of her shoulder in a long wisteria like curtain. She flashed a crooked grin as she began to close the purse above Chloe. “Just making sure you’re paying attention, now lets get going. We need to look at Dollhouses for your new habitat.” Her voice became muffled as darkness enveloped her.

“W-wait!?!” She screamed, but Rachel merely wagged her finger before disappearing from view. The former actress slumped back to the purses floor. Feeling it shift and bob like a ship at sea.
