Episode update + Tea Time Livestream this Sunday at 5:00PM! EST 3/26/23
Added 2023-03-24 18:47:21 +0000 UTC
Hello!!
I hope you are doing well! I have tackled some big projects before and I think this latest one is going to be my Mt Everest! I've been working on the finishings and now the furniture for the guest room, which has evolved into its own thing!
So this month's episode will feature how I've constructed a grand Victorian canopy bed frame by Frankensteining two facebook marketplace beds into one and will finish with my FIRST trip to the NYC garment district! There I found all of the velvet, lace and trim that this opulent room will require!
I'm Holding off on the room reveal episode until everything is finished, because of anything I've ever done before, this is honestly probably my very favorite!!
This Sunday we can catch up over tea and I'll be talking about the room and giving an exciting update on the printing of both my wallpaper patterns!
Can't wait to see you!
-Christine
Just got my autograph pictures and they are so beautiful. Canβt wait to frame them and hang them in the library!!! Thank you so much!

For you to say this is the biggest thing you have ever tackled has me giddy with anticipation! I'm remembering some of your past projects (changing the facade of your parents house for Halloween, the Winchester Gingerbread House, transforming the couch, the owl cabinet, ect...) and with those in mind, I can't even imagine what you would consider a "Mount Everest " project. I can't wait for this! π

This is such a great idea. Iβve been refinishing so much furniture lately and what better detail to add than some Christine creations?

So glad you got to experience NYC's garment district. You must have felt like a kid in a candy store. Anxious to see how the canopy bed turned out. See you tomorrow!

Disclaimer: this message is from my 5 yr. old who loves Christine. I just want to preface with that because some of this might be weird for an adult to say, but cute when a small child says it.....anyhoo, here's Rowen:

So sad to miss the live again (I teach Sunday evenings), but I'll catch the recording later and have my tea in your honor then. I can't wait to see what you do with the bed. I have a canopy bed with curtains, but I'm sure you'll inspire me to upgrade, as always.

Can't wait to see what you make!! I'm picturing you grunging-up the lace via airbrush to suit whatever the theme is... underwater algae? Black rot? Rust stained? Or perhaps eleglantly shimmering to catch the light of candles with real gold thread embroidery. I love that I never know whether your project will be gruesome, elegant, gothic, or cute!
