Double Homicide Outside My Apartment

A true story.

Less guns is not the answer, more control is not the answer. The answer is so simple but it’ll never happen until people respect firearms for what they are a tool. I was pretty freaked out the first time I used a 9” grinder, that’ll kill just as easily and in a far more malicious way. It’s not banned or regulated, because it is seen as, used as, and respected as a tool. The answer is this, If the US started implementing firearm safety courses beginning in grade school, and those courses gradually became more advanced as they progressed throughout school eventually including live fire range training courses not ending until high school and if these were not only practical courses, but also cause and effect classes such as explaining to kids what actually happens when the trigger is pulled while pointed at a person then we would not only have a safer society who would know the true cost of a misplaced finger or playing pretend war with dad’s 1911 and it would drastically reduce the likelihood of accidental shootings as now they aren’t toys, they are tools which if and when a tool is not respected it then becomes dangerous to the user and all those around the user, treating firearms as a tool and encouraging our children to understand how to safely handle them, how and where to point them and that you can never take back a trigger pull would do so much for reducing deaths and violence. Not to 100% finished, but I definitely think it would be in the high nineties. Now add both a psychiatrist and a psychologist to every school to evaluate the mental health of students, and focus of helping them instead of doping them, getting to root causes such as abuse, abandonment, loneliness, depression, bullying and combat those problems by strategically identifying each kid and their specific Myers-Briggs and match them with personalities that help them grow and challenge each other well now shit almost sounds like that utopia that the Marxi-Maoies keep fantasizing about. It all starts with the respect of tools.

oh yeah? They have less murder? What about human trafficking, drug trafficking, corruption? Heard of Britain's grooming gangs? Sweden's grooming gangs? Sure, a gun can X easier, but without guns it means you can't X a groomer. Also, ask Australia how great it is to be banned from having guns, while also having the absolute nightmare of corruption they have (https://www.friendlyjordies.com/copy-of-prayerroom) -- politicians out in broad daylight eating with violent gang leaders. No guns, while also opening the gates to mass migration.. hmm, i know what to do, let's hand out wristbands saying "dont grape me", and pamphlets letting untraceable migrants know "this is a no grape zone pls keep hands to self" LOL i hate guns!!11

I know this isn't what folks want to hear around here, but most gun fatalities are domestic violence, misfires, or suicide, and have nothing to do with personal defense from randos. Countries with less guns have less of all those things, as well as murder. They can also have less brutal police force because they're not paranoid someone can be packing heat at anytime. By all means in a perfect world, the state should guarantee that citizens have guns, and even give them away, but should also be on the hook for sponsoring all the programs that minimize gun violence. Until then, it's the worst of both worlds.
