Bye Bye

How is my another attention grabbing title of this year? Either Pure clickbait or Bad old joke right? I am learning how to make striking titles.

Just to be clear: I am only saying 'Bye Bye' to the year 2023. I am still working and will work on the games.

How are you all? I want all of you be happy and have a healthy life. So Kindly take care of yourself first.

I look back at the year 2023. 365 days are gone just like that. Some days were longer, some days were shorter. But the overall year is going to be ceased from exist in some hours. But we had fun. We survived a year. We won on many things, We learned on other things. We are growing up. We can do more than surviving. We can win. We can learn. We can achieve.

Let see what we have achieved and what we learned in the year of 2023:
Most would disagree with the decisions I have made throughout the year. But I assure they are good decisions.

XIX:
   Year started with my decision to make XIX as how I wanted it to be, instead of altering it's course to satisfy everyone. I learned that I can't satisfy everyone, so I decided to satisfy myself first. I began to do two things to improve XIX. I practiced a real lot to make the drawings more dynamic, engaging, and closer to my heart more importantly. Then I watched videos and read books on Writing, Drawing, and overall manga making as well. Which helped me realize that have I made huge mistakes in XIX as a creator. I accepted the truth, and began to learn more.

I have released only 2 updates shamefully on XIX in a full year. Even though I wanted to completed it by the end of 2023, My plans for XIX is too big, and I am not willing to cut it down for any reason. I will make it better and true to my heart.

Project Possible:
   I fought with Leroy more than anyone in my modern internet life. We agreed and disagreed on many things when it comes to work on PP game. Leroy is a good friend of mine and a real good person overall. And for some selfish reasons I made him angry. He kept asking why I acted that way so out of my character, but I didn't even give him the explanation. If he reads this and ask me, I will tell him.

Leroy released 6 updates on PP throughout the year. I so happy for him, and happy that I helped him to made it 'possible'. I should learn to keep a better release schedule like PP game. Worked for 6 updates in a year is a big achievement for me too.

Rebirth (Gargoyles):
   Not many noticed that I released a v0.0 on Gargoyles. It has only sketches and intro dialogues, two things that doesn't attract many people's attention. Though I know I will change the style of that game in future, to make it more adult oriented. But on 2023, I didn't do much for it other than made that build and did the character sketches.

Partnerships:
   What do I mean by partnerships?
   While working on XIX, I learned my time is very limited to do everything in the game. And in real life, I was facing multiple issues on different fields of life. I wanted to help people even though I needed some help too. So I made some new connections and become partners for some people.

I shall not talk about them here, since they are SFW creators. So I will tell you what benefit I gain in this partnership. I get some of my miscellaneous SFW works done by them while I spend my time on drawing or writing. For that I only have to help them with my basic knowledge on some subjects. And I like the good feeling of helping people on SFW community. I saw it as a win-win situation, so I took it.

Health:
   One of the biggest change in my entire life. On September I was releasing XIX v0.6. At the same month, I had to draw for PP v0.12. So I did the usual. Overworked myself and completed both of them. XIX on September and PP on October. Which later messed up my mind and health a bit. I didn't like those days, My lifestyle was very bad for my health. If I destroy myself, I can't achieve my dreams. Then I decided to deal with it once and for all. I had undeveloped muscles covered by skinny fat. I am neither strong, not healthy. So I sought a professional's help and found a perfect people who understood me. He told me, it will be a 8 month training program. It  will be much harder, but once I done it, I won't be in need to worry ever again. I took it. We started it right away from the October. I have started doing the workout routine he gave me, Started eating lot of vegetables, fruits, and meat. In three months I lost 6 Kgs of fat, and gained some muscles.
   My workout routine itself takes 3 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours in the evening. Buying ingredients, grocery, Preparing food, eating all of them within a day consumes around 6 hours per day for real. I am still looking for ways to reduce this time with hope. In the in between time, which is an hour or two, I am doing works. The drawings for both XIX and PP, writing, commissions, all takes place in that little time. [ PAUSE ]

            [ I take this minute to say how grateful I am to you, guys. Your support on both financial, and your kind words in Discord and Twitter really helps me a lot. I may miss to reply some messages/comments, but I want you to know, you are the best and I will be there for you when you need me. ]

For health, I am doing as much as I can, and I hope to done with them soon and be back to make the games filled with awesomeness.

Resolution:
   At December 31, 2022, I took a New Year Resolution. An act of discipline. There was a real good habit I didn't like to do since childhood. For 2023, I decided to do it twice a day, for the sake of discipline, for the sake of testing my willpower, to see how committed I can be. Today is December 31, 2023. For 364 days, I have been doing that good habit, and by tonight, I am winning that resolution. I am glad I kept it going despite many odds. Now I can do more.

I am taking three new year resolutions for 2024.
1. Diary writing - I am going to write My win, my lose, my finance of everyday. I believe this will help me to make better life choices in future.
2. Workout everyday - Every single day I am going to workout. I am going to be the strongest.
3. 1 hour work without any distraction - This will be the hardest thing to do out of 3 resolutions. Because of my recent health schedule. But I am looking forward to make myself do it. I will do at least one drawing per day and post it daily on Twitter and Discord (for free), weekly on Patreon and Subscribestar ( Paid tier, because NSFW ). Links are below

These resolutions are for all the days, including Sundays, Birthdays, and all kinds of Festival Holidays. I believe this will create a big change in my life of discipline.

For 2024 I have some good plans. Which I will write elaborately in the post 'next year'.
