50 More Reflections! 11-20

On to the second set! The first set actually contained two errors: untempered perfection was supposed to be 029 (028 is Grasp the Earth) and all the D6 were supposed to be D5. My bad!

030 - Truegrowth Bloom - Flower - Green: A fragment of the world tree containing the accrued knowledge of all those without minds. Wherever the tree's roots touched, it absorbed and learned from the decaying mindless mass of the world. From the fetid refuse that surrounded that scorched stump a bloom interwoven with all life sprouted, and it drank the energy of the sun of the end.

A bloom that contains the knowledge of all plants, it must be fed by the flame of the wielder, but those willing to indulge the Truegrowth Bloom can create a long-forgotten paradise.

ERROR - Gyrostabilized Fang - Blade and Compass - Steel: A shard of the ancient monolith, a fang stolen from those that came before. This weapon is a pair, a long, perfectly flat blade with no clear guard or handle and worryingly intricate orb of conjoining rings. The orb is a slipshod construction built around the segment meant to govern or direct the power of the blade. It whirls violently when exposed to open air or areas intensely focused on a certain element. By intaking (or blocking attacks) with the orb, one can use the signatures the orb memorizes to combine the orb with the blade to gain temporary dominion over a part of creation.

080 - Demonblood Infusion - Vial - Any: A thimble full of blood from one of the archfiends. “Untyped flame” they called it. But it exists as an ichor contained within this tiny bottle. The reflection, technically, is the bottle and not the demonblood contained within. After ingestion, the reflection fades from the wielder leaving behind only its warped influence on the body.

When swallowed, the user is asked a question: what court do you swear your allegiance to? From that moment onwards, the body begins to warp as its elemental affinity shifts towards a singular point. When the transformation is complete, the wielder is left as a demon with the might of the chosen court, yet, still endowed with the flame they possessed during their human life.

501 - Survivor of the Primeval Dark - Light - Black: A lone light that remained even after the world burned. The devoured strength of their world functioned as a protective ward that enabled their small refuge to stand even in the void. But with their lands gone, their people consumed in the blaze, where else was there to go? A single mote of light was lit by the last survivors. Their refuge would outlive them. But the message would endure. We were here. We lived.

Grants the wielder the voidnal flame of the tyrant dragon felled at the beginning of the war, and wings with strength capable of shielding its wielder from the great abyss. Even after their lives, the greatwyrms affection for their dear tactician remains, a grave amidst the void.

366 - Countermand - Gun x Sword - Blue and Green: A paired weapon, a long blade with a divot and its sheathe. The sheathe itself is a wondrous invention created by the genius Dr. Sylph at the urging of one of her dear, enthusiastic friends. This covering contains a gigantic amount of ammunition converting it more into a second armament than a useful method of storing a blade. While sheathed, the sword can be deployed at gunshot speeds by discharging a bullet from the sheathe at the back of the blade. By pressing a button on the side, the sheathe can be converted into a rifle or a shotgun, and by swinging it and placing it within the divot the blade becomes a rocket powered sledgehammer, capable of swinging with terrifying and frankly unacceptable speeds.

390 - Funeral Flare - Incense - Red: Long sticks of incense traditionally reserved for burials were repurposed into signal flares to call in attacks against roving demon hoards. The flames that once represented passage from this world ferried by the great guardians would function as markers of passage for the great enemy as well.

These lively sticks of incense propel themselves through the air leaving behind long multicolored trails of pungent smoke. By controlling these sticks of incense, the wielder also gains the ability to manipulate smoke itself moving as one with the pyre that represents redemption and preservation forevermore.

391 - Deepcolor: When Blood Runs More Freely Than Ink - Paintbrush - Black: As the war ran long, the ink used to dye the brilliant sets constructed by the circus became rarer and rarer. Unwilling to let such an inconvenience stop or even slow the show, the clowns turned to a new source for their paints.

By using this gigantic brush adorned with the blood of demons, one can draw demonic sigils with equivalent effectiveness to those anointed by the court. But, perhaps more potently, anything drawn with this accursed brush will assume its own life. The worst demons, after all, spring from the mind.

D5 - 4 - Canonicity - Cannon - Gold: A gigantic gilded canon that can be collapsed to the size of a pen. By taking aim with this hideous, gaudy device one can alter the properties of an ally, an enemy, or even the environment to become more ✨dramatic ✨. It can also be used as a long range ballistic weapon that fires off golden rays of pure power. This tool is used to control, at maximum distance and MAXIMUM FIREPOWER, the existence of heart-pounding elements within the story being told. A weapon that can overcome despair if the stakes are high enough, or create a crisis if it would make things more interesting.

“Imagination and emotion are limitless!!!” She yells as the canon loudly discharges, shattering nearby car windows.

A15 - Fateweaver: A Golden End Spun From An Eternity of Tragedy - Harp and Staff - Yellow and Green: Brilliant threads spun of every color imaginable adorn this harp, and hang in long almost liquid lines from the top of this staff. Heavy golden weights point the lighter-than-air thread towards the earth. Neither of these tools need to be used alongside this reflection, they are simple representations of their creator's power. By directing these razor sharp strings to different locations one can perform attacks capable of passing through any guard. When connected to another directly, the thread begins to weight itself with the tale of the target allowing sections of their history to be shared or even sheared away.

Garments fashioned with these strings approach the potency of reflections, and music played on an instrument strung with the thread carries a sublime warmth.

As warm as the sun or as cold as the moon, a smile does not guarantee adoration, it merely betrays their mirth.

D4 - 1 - Funerary Bell - Spear and Bells - Blue: The toning of the bell has historically marked the beginning of something new (custodian’s note: wedding bells! Like a wedding!) or the conclusion of a life whose flame has guttered out. A sash of bells and a spear are provided for the job. That is all that is required.

Each bell on the sash performs a different function. Some highlight a sickly or wounded soul for the reaper. Others place a curse on those that listen, hastening the time of their harvest. A grand bell sits at the end of the line and when this evening bell tolls, the spear, once released, will always find its way home. The spear cannot be returned to its clasp without burying itself in the chest of the one whom the bell has deemed worthy of true death.
