K BACK FROM THE DENTISt and my mouth is numb. As you can see, a lot of the final version ended up being pretty similar to the original. I really liked the pacing and the interactions in this chapter, and thought I did a good job (given that writing scenes with a bunch of characters coming in and out can be weird) (for me) (who never interacts with this many people in my real life).

Chapter 6 by comparison was a very bad chapter imo, poorly paced and with an overall tone I didn't really care for, and needs a lot of rework in the way that Chapter 4 did compared to the original. I'm probably going to have to rewrite a lot of it so I am looking forward to correcting those mistakes! But I was really glad that this chapter held up over time and that I was able to bring it to life in a way that wasn't possible for me 10 years ago when I wrote it. Thanks very much to all of you for allowing me to do that :]
