About the English version of “Luvslave"

Dear English fans! I have always been aware of the difficulties in translating Japanese comics into English, especially in the English version of my work “Luvslave”. This work often uses special words over existing Japanese words, many of which are rooted in the Japanese cultural background, and it seemed difficult to translate them directly into English. I have not yet got the English version of the book, but from what I have seen on SNS, it seems that some of the nuances of the original words have become difficult to convey, so I will explain them below. "Millie" In Japanese, she was originally named “メガ姉 (Meganee)” ("姉 (nee)" means "sister") because she wears “眼鏡 (Megane = glasses),” and “Azami Lyon -> Million -> Mega” was an afterthought. Incidentally, she was a boy in initially plot. "The Nightwalker" In Japanese, her name is “インバイター (Inbyter),” which is a pun on the Japanese words for “淫売 (Inbai = slut)” and “売女 (Baita = whore)". The original nuance of the word seems to have been lost in the translation, but I'm a big fan of the old Japanese PC game “NightWalker - Midnight Detective,” which was also made into an anime, so I think it's okay. "The Kill-You-Seum Death Battle" In Japanese, it was called “クッコロセウム (Kukkoroseum)". This is derived from a meme known as “くっ殺せ (Ku, korose = K.. Kill me.)” a common phrase used by female knight characters before they are humiliated. In the translation, the meme part has been lost and the name has become more heinous. "Hussee Noir" In Japanese, the name is “ダークゼゲン (DarkXegen),” which is a katakanaized version of the old Japanese word for “女衒 (Zegen = Pimp),” set up as a cool-sounding boss in the style of hobby manga. I thought it would sound cool in English as it is, but it didn't seem like a clever name to English speakers, so it was changed in translation while still capturing the nuance of the original. I hope that all overseas will also enjoy the English edition of“Luvslave". To purchase it, please check @J18Publishing in X.
