Important Update and Question

I'm sorry I have to make this update as it feels like admitting defeat toward the struggles of the last year but I have officially reached a point where I must make changes for my mental health. We got far with the current setup and it worked for a good long while but under current circumstances it has become too much.

Over the last year, I've had my life and career constantly threatened both on the micro and macro scale. To those who have known me long enough, you know that I am a survivor of many horrible traumas which makes me face a constant mental health struggle. I'm not made to handle the onslaught of endless threats, medical problems, health relapses, and compiling issues that are consuming my every waking moment.

I fully believe in transparency and delivering my best to those who support and believe in me. This last year I have not been able to deliver my best. The stress has compiled to the point that I'm having panic attacks every time I try to draw, and my confidence and skill has taken massive hits due to it. Especially the color images that have so much weight and expectation on them and how terrible they turn out with my lacking skills.

The heart of this update is that I have thought hard on what I am capable of under current circumstances. What changes, no matter how small, can help me deliver better work to you. Especially without sacrificing content to all of you who deserve my best for all the support. So I'm not changing the amount, only my methods, and of those, I want to propose the options to you and let you decide how we go about things. I have discussed with various patrons, friends, and trying to feel out what options would make everyone happy. Hopefully my ideas can be enjoyable as I truly want to help relieve the pressure to provide better content.

This doesn't change the current month and all, I just need to finally accept my limits to offer you the best I can. All images will be made as patreon exclusives under the normal release times, and personal art will all be bonus exclusive content as well. Those perks wont be touched!

The monthly options and ideas of what could be a vast improvement for mental health and current limits are:

  1. 5 prompt sketches. 3 artist choice color pieces (not sketch dependent).

  2. 5 prompt sketches, 1 comic page and the time for lore focus growth on the site I have been preparing to document it all. (With bonus content of converting each lore piece into usable dnd format for any who want to use it. Total conversion tests is how it was born after all!)

  3. 10 prompt sketches.

  4. 5 prompt sketches. 5 artist choice sketches.

  5. 5 prompt sketches, lean into lore as above, and make product and merch content each month to deliver the common requests but I never have the time for amidst the current workloads.

  6. 5 prompt sketches, and artist choice of comic page, three color pieces, or other larger effort full projects. (Ideal for me for flexibility to follow drive.)

  7. Artist choice to figure out the ideal situation

Current setup is: 4 prompt sketches, 2 artist choice sketches, and 3 color pieces from sketches.

You do you first

I hope you feel better! I'm just here to support you so you can keep making art. The particular format is unimportant, and things like getting to submit prompts or vote in polls are just a nice bonus to me. Whatever works for you as far as sustainability is best!

Definately not 3. That sounds like it would have the opposite effect. Schedule smedule. We like you, your art, your characters, and particular collection of faded blue kinks. But not more than the first one. Your welfare takes priority.

As someone who has mental issues too, from depression to ocd and the like, I learned that when I start with panic attacks, it's a clear sign from my body to stop because everything is too much. I love your artwork and as others said already, I would do it too even without all the extra art. Stop caring about others for a while and put yourself as top priority, as much you can, simply rest and take good care of yourself because you deserve it :3

CloudCastle

Liz, you should do what is best for you. If you need to take a short break/slow down your output for a while, go for it, so long as it helps you ^.^

Do what is best. I have said before that I pay no attention to what the schedule is supposed to be. I have no expectations. But almost every post you make makes my day a bit better. Even the ones I don't like as much is just due to the subject not quality. Ut there are others here who do like them and that's more important. Most important is you enjoying what you create. I doubt I'm the only one who has said this, but you are way too hard on your self. But that is often how creators are. While not a bad thing, one also has to step back and just accept 'Maybe I could have done better but this is pretty good.' No one here has ever found your work wanting. From rougher roo sketches, to tragic worm pictures, and the more recent mother/hatching master pieces, we enjoy what you do. Most of all we want what is best for you. Do what is going to make you happy and it will make us happy.

There is only one correct option here, and that is 7. We support you because we want to support you, not because we receive 10 images per month, and we certainly don't want you to destroy yourself by creating XX artworks per month.

Phenix

I offer my vote for your allocation, please choose what you would find most comfortable. ❤️

AdagioOsiris

I will suport you regardless of how the vote goes. I understand stress. I suggest you take a month or two hiatus and try to destress, then pick up again with a plan that works best to keep your stress managable. People are not robots, we need time sometimes to unwind. Take that time please. I think many of us care that you are all right more then when the next piece of art comes out.

Ghostpony

Please pick what's best for you. You're health and well-being are more important. ♡
