Overhaul, First Taste — A Slight Delay

Due to the size of the upcoming update and the amount of the changes that had to be made in preparations for its release, we have to take a few more days to properly polish it and make sure everything works as intended. On the upside, you will finally get a glimpse of the first results of our work behind the scenes! This is the first proper overhaul patch, which focuses on reworking the entirety of medical bay and preparing it to play a much bigger role in not only Seraphina's own route, but other stories as well.

What you should expect:

• Whole new storyline, featuring Clyde and MC on their drunken misadventures.

• Intro into reworked Seraphina's storyline.

• Updated visuals for Seraphina, featuring her new and improved design.

• Completely new (secret) character!

• Updated medical bay area and added a new location to visit.

• Plenty of new bonus interactions as a cherry on top.

And just to touch on a few more technical notes, the major reason for this delay is the complexity of replacing old content. It's probably not an interesting topic for most of our followers, but I think adding clarity wouldn't hurt. Since a lot of in-game events tied to the locations they are triggered in, updating backgrounds is a painful process. In our case, it required to rewrite a good portion of the legacy code, which was near impossible to use with the upcoming additions and the current scale of the project. Thankfully, the deed is done and we can finally start the process of replacing all of the existing outdated background visuals with something much better! In a few day's time, you'll finally get a chance to properly explore them for the first time, and a bit later - to finally see the Academy in all it's FullHD glory! Yes, we're also updating default resolution from measly 1066x600 all the way to 1920x1080, which should result in a much, MUCH sharper picture quality.
