Updated Roadmap!

Since Winter Holidays are upon us, our team will probably take a short vocation to cool down after the ridiculous grind throughout the past year. As of right now, we released 15 updates in 2024, and we plan to drop at least two more before taking a break.

With that said, it's probably the last roadmap our game receives before we get to doing some major changes. In the current state, Academy34 is neither a visual-novel, nor is it a proper dating sim. It sits in an awkward spot somewhere in between, and we really want to fix that. Since our following grew to be many times larger than we ever expected, it's only fair that we should strive to deliver equally decent game in return.

In the upcoming year we will completely update the entire in-game world and start implementing necessary mechanics, that should add a lot more substance to the current gameplay loop. It's too early to give any concrete details, but here's a few things you could expect:

1. Entirely new in-game map with many more locations to visit.
2. Exploration rewards and side-quests.
3. Proper stat and perk system.
4. Reworked classes and their dedicated storylines.
5. Reworked overall progression.
6. Reworked Prologue.
7. Reworked in-game UI.
8. Added main storyline.

This list is far from complete, but we would rather avoid overpromising, since our capabilities are still rather limited. Still, we are happy to say that with your support in the last few months, we were able to do so much more than ever before, and if all goes well, you should see the first fruits of our labor sooner than you probably expect!

Also, don't worry, most of the work will be happening in the background, so you shouldn't notice any changes in our release schedule. In case of delays, we will let you know immediately! We will start posting more detailed sneak peaks into the future of A34 in early 2025, so stay tuned!
