E3 Survey Review Part 7 - Favourite Scenes
Added 2025-01-13 19:40:34 +0000 UTCI asked you to rate (almost) every non sexual scene out of 10 (including Saki's banana scene even though this is fairly sexual). I didn't ask for the very brief scenes such as Dr. Riley's lecture, but here's how the longer scenes ranked:
1) Drinks with Chelsea & Kat: 9.29
2) Gym with Tasha & Ashley: 8.94
3) Drinks with Katie: 8.54
4) Movie with Paris: 8.43
5) Saki & banana: 8.25
6) Talking to Dr. Riley: 8.20
7) Lake with Paris: 8.14
8) Studying with Naomi: 7.92
9) Lenny's with Chloe: 7.58
10) Saki's exaggerated story: 7.17
11) Dr. Novotna's Lecture: 6.68
Unsurprising to see the lecture at the bottom and the order is generally quite close to what I expected. The one score that is a bit disappointing is Saki's story. I was a little nervous about this scene because of how wacky it is but I think it turned out well. Quite a few of you actually mentioned that you really enjoyed it right after playing. Let's take a look at the graph for this:
A lot of you really liked this scene and some of you really didn't. But I think that's fine. That scene is essentially an expression of her personality and not everyone likes her personality. In fact if we look at her personality graph from the E2 survey they actually look pretty similar:

So while 7.17 might seem a little disappointing - I think the people who like Saki really liked it and I'm happy with that.
On the other end of the list, your favourite non-sex scene was the drinks with Chelsea & Kat and the graph for this is pretty ridiculous:
Almost 60% of you rated it as 10/10 and that's incredible. Part of me worries that these ratings are a bit inflated by the scene that comes right after the drinks but that's difficult to know. Also very glad to see such a high score for the gym scene, I'm going to assume that most of you played that scene with Ripped/Warrior in one of your playthroughs. If it had a low score I would've been concerned that maybe people didn't see all of the content but that doesn't seem to be the case.

i dont think the lecture was the issue more tht Dr. Novotna isnt all that appealing to the audience thus not as high on the scene fav list

2025-01-15 00:34:18 +0000 UTCConsidering 68.2% of respondents rated Saki's flashback sequence 7 or above (and over half rated it 8 or above!), you should consider it to be a success. Don't let the fact that some really low scores dragged down the average discourage you from taking these kinds of creative risks in the future. Also, speaking as someone who generally prefers more romantic, slow burn characters over ones who shed their clothes at the drop of a hat, but who still really liked the Chelsea/Kat bar scene, I'd have to chalk it up to your writing and in particular Chelsea's character - adorable and funny in addition to being beautiful. She's not in my top five, but she's close and is obviously a big fan favorite!

2025-01-14 01:48:59 +0000 UTCI love the Saki's exaggerated story. It adds a lightheartedness and playfulness to the story. To me if everything is kept serious that can end up making things Boring and predictable. I also don't see a problem with a diversified personality group. Where I think it would be a decent idea for the option to "give the gist of it" choice that would take away from the story quite a bit(for that scene). That being said it would be the players choice to play the dulled down scene or the full scene.

And that’s a good thing because you’ve set up the anticipation and the game part becomes relevant and there’s a chance you can unlock a sex scene from this. And a decent chance of a threesome as well. 2. The Saki stuff was never going to be as good as the Kat Chelsea scene and her nonsense rambling doesn’t add anything. There’s not exactly a burning mystery at the heart of this game, so any clues she unearths is 🤷♂️

2025-01-13 22:07:57 +0000 UTCI'm not trying to tell you how I feel about story or even trying to put it down. I am giving you perspective. For Saki, you seemed to relate Saki fans to liking her story, and I'm definitely an exception to that. I think you can test what I said about the scenes being "meh" by examining how scenes with Chelsea or Lydia rank on average, compared to others, such as scenes with Naomi, Jordan, or Nina. They aren't bad scenes, but their general audience appeal is going to be massively affected by overall appeal/personality of the characters in them. If you're not interested in that feedback, IDK why you are conducting polls and reviewing them this thoroughly.

2025-01-13 20:52:22 +0000 UTCRegarding Saki's story, perhaps have an option to skip it for any future events like that. Just her asking, "Would you like the full story" and having options like "Yes", "Just a summary", and "No", or something like that. That way everyone gets their cake.

2025-01-13 20:12:57 +0000 UTC1. I loved the Saki story, but am not a fan of Saki, as a character. She has her moments and she's not a terrible character, but she pretty far from my favorite character. 2. In general, Chelsea makes scenes better. Her character is 100% sexual, all the time. And, she immediately liked the MC. Almost every guy is gonna respond positively to her. 3. Chloe's scene, Florence's scene, lake Paris scene, and Naomi's scene are all meh. I actually really like Flo as a character and LI, but you're having to work a lot harder for her than someone like Chelsea or Lydia. Naomi could be interesting, but it's just a lot of effort for very little pay off. Poor ROI, compared to others. She almost seems asexual. Any characters with more sexual energy and willingness to put out will make for better scenes. Put it another way, scenes with more sexual energy are gonna be more entertaining and more memorable. I don't think anyone will look back fondly and want to watch the office scene with Flo in a replay gallery. Not a bad scene, but not gonna be as fun or exciting.
