Dev Update #32

When is E3?

Hi everyone, it's the day I told you I would have a finalised date for Episode 3. I have a date and I will post the release schedule for all tiers after this but unfortunately the date is not this month (sorry). I've looked at everything I have left to do and I've made myself some very tight but manageable deadlines for each of my remaining tasks. Having looked at everything I have left to do, I'm planning to publish early access in exactly 30 days from now on the 10th of December (for UV). Meaning, UltraViolet early access will open on the 10th Dec, InfraRed on the 12th etc and finally Bronze access will be on Christmas eve, 24th Dec.

I'm really sorry that it's not coming this month. I initially estimated November when I started E3 development and as it's now going to be a month later than I predicted I will accept any and all refund requests for November - no questions asked. I'm sorry that E3 is taking so long but I'm doing everything I can to make it worth it. I have some awesome stuff planned for E4 but time efficiency is going to be a big focus for me during E4 development because I'm pretty annoyed at myself for taking this long with E3. But anyway, we have a date and I'm very excited. Can't wait to show you the next chapter :)

Other Development News:

So I had a crazy productive week and did quite a lot - a bunch of renders, corrected several renders I'd already done but then realised looked awful, made two more (non sex) animations (one of which includes something I've really struggled with before), thought of a small potential visual change to how special perk based dialogue appears and I also have another top secret idea that is in very early stages but might come in E4 (but even if it does it will only have an effect in E6/7 at the earliest). But in regards to the visual change - what I'm considering is representing special perk dialogue options by a symbol rather than the name of a perk. This coming week I'll probably run a quick poll on this to get your opinions and actually show you what I mean but basically instead of "(SCHOLAR): smart answer" it could be "[brain symbol] smart answer".

You dont have to be sorry about not being done on time. Game development is hard and it will always be lather than sooner. Just be transparent about the problems and most will understand. Some never wont. Some even will expect you to release daily. Dont listen to them, just take the time you need and be honest. Have a good week
