Dev Update #23

E3 Development:

Work is going pretty well. I'm still focusing on the animations so I'm afraid I don't have a huge amount I can show off to you right now but I'm happy with how we're progressing. I think the animations I've got so far are looking good and I'm really excited for what I have planned for the ones that are in progress. Sometimes I like to think about whether if you replaced the girl in one of Elmwood's sex scenes with a generic girl or a crash test dummy or whatever is whether you'd be able to tell who the girl is by how they move. And that's quite a difficult ask but it's important for me to think about and I think I'm doing ok with this. Beyond every girl just having a unique position I'm also trying to have uniqueness in common positions.

Completely different to animations but I also learnt something new this week which is very subtly shown in the height comparison pic and that is... the player's bulge... lol. It's quite subtle in that pic but I think it's just about noticeable. Something I've been conscious of is the lack of any bulge when we wore jeans in E2 for example. I think this took a bit of the magic away and maybe made his dick less believable. I'm not saying I've completely solved this issue but with the grey sweatpants shown in the height pic I have managed to get a subtle but realistic dick shaped bulge there. Not saying all renders are now going to be hyper realistic in regards to that area but it's nice that I have a solution to do this which gives us options to have girls comment on it or for us to show erections through clothing at specific times etc. It's a work in progress and something I'm also trying not to spend too much time on but I'm really happy with what I'm learning.

Replay Gallery Poll:

The poll I opened last week about the replay gallery has closed. About half of you like the gallery exactly how it is now, just under half want the scenes hidden with the option to be revealed and a very small minority want the locked scenes completely hidden. So given this data I'm not going to change the replay gallery for now. I think most people are using it in the way that I intended (play the whole episode, then look at the gallery) as opposed to the people who look at it as they're playing and therefore see spoilers.

Height Comparison Pic (just posted this, scroll down if you haven't seen it):

Thank you to darkrapunzel for suggesting this, I think it's a great idea and additionally showed me that I apparently lied about 3 girls' heights. Nina was listed as 5'6 when in fact she is 5'4. Katie is actually 5'7 not 5'6 and Selina is actually 5'7 not 5'8. This will be corrected on their pages in E3. To clarify - I'm not changing anyone's heights here I am correcting the information on their character page. Nina was always 5'4 but somewhere I made an error and incorrectly measured her 5'6.

Lastly, I feel like like I should apologise for the lack of posts recently - I'm not really happy with my recent activity on Patreon as I think you deserve more content but as I said last week I don't want to show any previews of the animations (or the script, obviously) which is making up the bulk of my workload right now. When I'm churning through tonnes of images then I can start to hype up E3 with some exciting previews. So yeah - sorry for the lack of posts recently but I do intend to ramp things up the closer we get to E3. Thank you all so much for you support, hope you have a great week.
