march sketchbook tour!!

here you are my lovelies! my march sketches!! there's a lot of traditional pages this go around, cause the LAMY safari really unlocked something in me, clearly

also, i know there's only a couple pages from my cincinnati trip ;; as beautifully inspiring as the trip was, i unfortunately found myself a bit struck with hardcore imposter syndrome, despite my best efforts to put that aside and i found myself actually having a bit of a hard time drawing with 3 extremely talented, dedicated, professional artists sketchbooking around me...i know that my work is also good in its own right, but i just became hyperaware of the ways in which i feel my work is lacking. im just in (another) style crisis and am wrestling with myself on really breaking out of my comfort zone and trying something completely different and wacky. art is hard and weird...and comparison is the thief of joy and all that!! but this is what my brain was telling me that whole weekend, which is why i only have two-ish pages to show for it 😔

i really really like my marceline sketches, and the little cattos -- again, i tend to like my work when it feels a little sillier and gummier!! still trying to figure out how to make that work with my pose studies...HMMMMMM like!! i really like the minato sketch on the first page, but again, i need it to be...squishier. >:(

anywho!!! i think i just need to marry my LAMY safari for a while, cause it really does free up my hands it seems~~ love you lots!!! xx
