I'm Cancer Free!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to quickly update you again on my health situation.

Last week on Tuesday I had the nine hour operation that I described in the previous post and it all went very well without any complications. Since then the last week has been pretty rough but I've been recovering well and everything is healing as expected. The transplant on my tongue is also very healthy.

After the operation they tested the area around the tumor and my lymph nodes that they had removed and they were all clear, so I'm cancer free again!! They will of course be giving me regular check ups over the next few years to ensure that it doesn't return.

Earlier today they let me out of the hospital so I'm back home now :) There's still more recovery to go though - I still can't speak very well at all but I'll be getting speech therapy starting from next week. It will also be a lot easier once the swelling has gone down. I also can't eat solid food for the next few weeks which is a real pain so I guess I'll have to brush up on my soup making skills ;)

I'm slowly going to try and start getting back to my normal life over the next few weeks, although I do also want to spend a lot of time with friends and family while I'm recovering. I'll update you again next week with more information about the plans for releasing Equilinox and getting back to making videos.
