Hi! When will you release your first beta? If you clever (and you are) it could be the next Minecraft kinda success. I know, you develop games because you love it, but it's a possible scenario as well! I did a short intro with your game to my friends who have kids and they play Minecraft all day long and they said "this is just awesome, some kinda feeling like in MC". Also, many thanks for your videos, I learn a lot about opengl and lwjgl! I'm really interesting though what books you use, what debug tools, etc. What do you do, when you want to implement, for eg. a new shader effect and there is no tutorial :) Last note: when my girlfriend saw the movement of the animals, she was already bought :D

Thanks :) An no, I'm afraid there isn't an option for that yet, but there definitely will be soon, it's on my to-do list. I'll try and make sure that it's implemented before the next release. I don't think it would be able to crash the game though, I think that's more likely to be the static batch overflowing because you've got so many entities in the world. That problem will be fixed in the new engine which I'm currently working on.

Hi! Great game with a lot of potential here. I may have missed this option, but is there a way to turn off notifications for repeatable tasks? The grass farmer one starts to repeat very often, especially when you speed up the time in the game. It actually crashed the game when it filled the entire height of the screen with notifications before they were cleared. I'm happy to see that the DP prices have been raised, it gave me a bit more of a challenge, especially with the bees! :)

Yes, this is something that will change, but is intentional at the moment. Before I added the day/night cycle I already had the concept of "days" in the game, but they were very short (I think 10 seconds long if I remember correctly). Obviously this was way too short for the day/night cycle, but I need to change the settings for all the plants/animals before they use the day/night cycle days otherwise they will take way too long to grow.

ThinMatrix

Dear ThinMatrix, I don't know if you plan on changing this or if it is intentional, but I have found an oddity in the game. The plants age, grass tufts to be exact, have their age based in hours, but they don't seem to relate that to the actual in game hours. By that I mean grass tufts age will advance by 10 hours but the game will only have progressed one hour according to the timer on the bottom.
