new video ✦ an art date with HEIKALA!! (AAAHH)

I'm currently working on the thumbnail and the description, so it'll be going live early tomorrow morning (when I schedule the publish time, it'll go private again in a few hours, but I wanted to give y'all a lil sneak peek hehe). I cannot BELIEVE this is a real video that I got to make -- I have been following Heikala's work for so many years and she's been such a HUGE inspiration to me, and it is so...surreal that I got to chill and draw with her for two whole hours :sobs:
I talk about how this video came to be during the intro, but I basically got an e-mail from Ben of Gallery Nucleus asking if I wanted to do a video with Heikala to help promote her upcoming solo exhibition there, and my brain short-circuited upon reading this lolol. I can't get over it. I can't think about it too long, it's like my mind still can't believe this actually happened.
If you aren't familiar with Heikala's work, please check out her website and her instagram!!! She is an incredible illustrator who is a real master with watercolor and inks -- getting to watch her make in real time was such a treat. And I had to play it ~very cool~ whenever she complimented my work cause!!! what!!!
ANYWAY I hope y'all like this video!! It was very special for me to make!! It was my first time every recording a video interview like this, so the audio is a bit funky and stuff but I did the best I could and I certainly learned a lot for next time 😅
