designing my first t-shirt??
Added 2023-07-17 20:38:34 +0000 UTCEDIT: made two new versions of the little pocket cowboy design, with text!! i'm leaning towards the text underneath the cat as opposed to the circling above/below, but i'm curious to know what you think too :o) thanks for your help you guys!! i also hear those of you who don't like pocket motif tees -- fear not! if this campaign goes over well, i will likely do another one closer to xmas time, with a full front design
Hey y'all!! So I've been back and forth with Bonfire for probably two years now (thank you, executive dysfunction and also...Life) as they've been wanting to work with me on a t-shirt campaign, and I thought my little cowboy cat would make a very cute pocket tee motif, SO I think I'm gonna make it a reality!
I initially had a big graphic on the back that said "HOWDY PARTNER (in a gay way)" in big bubble letters, but I had it in white, and I think the cowboy cat looks very cute on white as well as colors, so I went ahead and got rid of it. Though I'll probably bring it back with another cowboy design, cause I think it's funny and I want a tee with that on it lol or maybe a tote bag oooOOOoooo
anyway! I wanted y'all's input! I currently have several different t-shirt colors available, along with four different long sleeve color options, and I want to know if maybe I should cut back a bit? I've got the "I wanna please everybody" flag up in my brain, but I think I need to focus more on what colors actually serve the design. For instance, I might get rid of the maroon red and turquoise color in the "comfort colors tee", cause they're cute but they're not WOW like the gold yellow is, ya know?
Gimme all your thoughts!! Would you buy this tee-shirt? What should I change about the design? What else would you like to see on apparel from me?
(Also, I was thinking of donating around 25-50% of the profits from this campaign to a transgender support organization in Texas!! I was thinking Transgender Education Network of Texas, but if there are other orgs that come to mind, please do share :3)

(like on the neckerchief and hat). i ask because i’m interested in how that will affect how the design looks on certain colors. also, selfishly, i would encourage you to keep the comfort colors options there just because i like their material/cut lol. last note, i think the lettering looks a tiny bit better/more smooth to read when it’s all under the design. this is so cool and exciting!! great design, i look forward to supporting!

2023-07-17 20:57:43 +0000 UTCI don't have experience in apparel, so this is all opinion and please feel free to disregard any or all of it! 🌼🌼 It's your first apparel release, so I think starting with less options (Right now you have 13 unique colours, I think?) makes more sense. Then, depending on the success and feedback of customers, expanding the colour range/options for future releases. That way you can gauge interest, see what people are buying and what the want more of, and go from there. So, maybe just limit to 7 options? Black, white, +5 colours that represent your brand and go well with the design. (Bright pink, bright blue, golden yellow, bright red are the first few colours that come to mind) Though I'm certain whatever you choose to do will go wonderfully! We are here to support you in whatever you decide 🥰✨

2023-07-17 20:49:43 +0000 UTCso! bonfire has several different “styles” of tshirts, they’re all unisex, but slightly different cuts/materials, and each one has different colors available! and you can only choose up to 5 colors for each design, so i picked a lot of neutrals for that first one, and the other unisex style is the one that had that yummy yummy golden yellow. and then the long sleeve tees are another product style, and i chose 4 different colors to make available for that one, but might cut it down to white and light yellow. The customer gets to choose what color/style/size they want of the design, this is just me deciding what to make available in the first place!! I hope that makes sense lol

If so, that def could be cut down to just one style of Tshirt and one style of long sleeve. But I’m not sure if that is what you’re asking about 😅
