Heya all! VIls here with the weekly lewds for the week!

"Heya everyone! This week we continue the work of improving our textures, starting with mainly ground one. Bear applied his AWESOME black magic once again, and now it is possible not just to have parallax textures, but to mix 'em right inside the engine on a single mesh, just paint them with a brush, up to 3 textures!!! 

"This is too OP honestly:)  and it helped us with a problem of feeling repetitiveness of texture tiles. And transition is seemless, thats what is especially mind-blowing for me personally!"


"You can still spot the tiling from the bird-view angle if you try, but from player's perspective it is nearly impossible, imo!!"  


"Also slightly tweaked main square part of the location and added placeholder for a characters to see how it would feel with some characters in it."


"And lastly replaced all market's stalls with proper one." 


"Still some minor elements are needed to be modeled and incorporated tho, also changed overall layout of it."


"So we would still have clear curvy passage to the street, but still would have a place to explore worth those two pockets, where something of interest can be found!"

"This week I switched gears from Rosas are Red to help support the upcoming update for Third Crisis! Most of my work has been supporting the dialogue and implementing one of the slime scenes. On the more visual side, here's a look at a newly implemented dialogue sprite for Dr. Weber from the prologue!"

"This week felt kinda slow. My goal was to finish the 2nd slime animation (which I did) and also do the scientist lady cg. That cg didn't get into engine to get animated yet though, so I decided to work on something else. In it's place, I've worked on some minor gameplay improvments (hacking minigame now has sounds and there was an exploit where you could make the game trivially easy). I also added this little cg recording to the new mansion level in the overworld."


"After that, I decided to start working on the 3rd slime animation. After it was rigged I wanted a better workflow for the tentacle that is included in the animation. In the first slime animation, I did the tentacle animations by putting a CCD IK on each bone of the tentacle. This did end up in a very stable but also somewhat limited animation capabilities."


"Sugarmint recently sent me an animation they really liked on twitter. It's made with live2d and I decided to look into implementing an animation system that could achieve similar results. Essentially the idea of live2d's animation approach is to define "poses" that can be gradually enabled. These poses can then be added on top of each other and you can achieve very dynamic and detailed animations through this."


"Today on stream, I implemented an extremely bare-bones version of this workflow in Unity as you can see in this video."


"After this proof of concept was completed, I decided that it would take too much time to get it into this upcoming patch and I paused development to get back to stuff that can be put immediately into the next patch, but I'm confident that if I take enough time, I can make a really nice system to enhance TC's animation quality even further!"
