I wanted to thank everyone for their support in making 2023 a fantastic year for us! Patreon has allowed the Cafe to continue to offer free hosting and support to some of your favorite comic artists and stories, so we really apppreciate all that you do!
We have had a new web developer for a few months now, Turriel came to us highly recommended by our friends over at Twokinds. He's been a great fit and a very valuable member of the team. I would also like to thank our previous developer, which has been a long standing member of the community though thick and thin, and without whom many of us would not have made it this far.
Kemono Cafe was launched on July 4th 2019, which makes the project just about 4.5 years old now. The Cafe currently hosts 16 comics from 8 different artists, and also help promote dozens more though our Katbox inn link exchange page, site interviews and discord server.
We continued our strong presence in the Metaverse, both at Comic Vket 3 in February/March (https://comic3.vket.com/en) and at Summer Vket in July (https://event.vket.com/en/2023Summer/world), showcasing interviews. Sandy's live presentations were such a hit that we even won a booth popularity contest!
I do also want to resume creating content for the patreon which is derived from our VR assets, so look forward to that in the near future.
As far as IRL stuff, we have not decided if we will be present at Anthrocon or MFF this year, but I'll let you guys know as soon as we know for sure.
The Fable Story comics are currently on hiatus until we get a new writer, at least to finish the current arc. I may change the format altogether, in order to make it easier for us to post more frequently.
