Malevolent Planet v0.1.4 Bug-Catcher List
Added 2021-03-28 15:54:51 +0000 UTCI think we can safely begin this phase right now. I've spent all day today on fixing bugs and right now preparing to update the $5+ build, followed by the $1 build. I will reference this post on both of them.
List of reported bugs so far and their ongoing progress:
- Clothing Checks if she's naked or only wearing underwear, for the ability to leave the Player Room. β
- Dummy Entries from Codex removed. β
- General Smartwatch Fixes. π - Some fixed have been applied, but there are still a few left.
- Buttons to Save/Restart. β
- Media Rules to make the speech boxes smaller on mobile. β not yet
- Disable the Back/Forward button when they lead nowhere. β
- Fix Hats and Hairs combinations. π Only one hairstyle seems to have this issue.
- Updated the code that gets tags from equipped clothes in the new avatar system. β
- Fix Tease Code in Combat to work with the new Avatar System. β
- Add Cloth Tearing to Combat. β
- Fix Blackjack Avatar. β Not yet, it's going to take an hour or two on a good day.
- Add Dialogue Variables for all the new characters. β
- Wonky Smartwatch Buttons. β
- Make the Continue Button on the Character Creation Screen bigger. β
- Fix Camping Quest Bikini pairs. β
- Fix Blackmailer Event NSFW scenes. β
- Give the ability to restore the latest auto save on a bad game ending. β Not very difficult, but I will need to make sure the auto saves happen when they should.
- Fix Blackjack Minigame. β functional, just the avatar isn't.
- Added all the new expressions to the game. β
- Check if only one of the bottom or top slots is currently equipped. β Will get fixed soon, right now this bug allows your character to leave her room naked, as long as she's wearing jeans.
- Game should start with the avatar and the context bar hidden. β
- Fix the avatar cloner error in the dialogue macro on page reload. β Fixed also the times when the first speech box of your character had an empty portrait.
- Add margins to NPC Speech boxes. β
- Images Overflow out of the passage. β But not all of them tested, right now the passage will stretch to accommodate the size of the images, so I'm not sure if it'll work for all.
- Fix avatar showing up on top of the meta info screen. β
- Fix the addition of the smartwatch icon to the bottom bar when you receive the smartwatch. β
- Horizontal Wardrobe becomes Vertical Wardrobe. β (most of the work here by Cyrus)
- Fill Diary and Codex with entries. β not yet, will be when I get started on the diary entries and the codex entries, at the end of the bug fixing phase
- Smartwatch menus now have a full height. β
- During the Shower Event, your character still wears the towel while showering. β this one requires some time to find the culprit code
- Some choices stretch into the text. β will be part of the towel searching, they're not exactly difficult bugs, but they need some time to fix all the instances. When this happens, zoom out until I can fix it.
- Some Expression overlays have the wrong skin colors. β same as the recent ones, needs time to find the bad assets
- Can now eat and drop the snack bar from your inventory. You can get it and the coffee in the Morning in the Entertainment Room. β
- Updated the fight outcomes' passage names. Before it was "XYZ Won" and "XYZ Lost", now it's "Defeated the XYZ" and "Lost to the XYZ". β
- Can sleep at any time now, even if not tired, by taking a nap. β
- The wardrobe doesn't show the tearing levels on worn clothing. β will take some time to fix
- Fixed an instance of a passage name repeating twice. β
- Fix clunky formatting on a few passages. β
- Added the upgrades for the Ship's Engine Room and Pilot Room, with their own fluff text as well. β
- Removed all the parts that belonged to the outdated dialogue macro, and with it a few UI mismatches. β
