Progress on the development of Malevolent Planet - 31st July 2020
Added 2020-07-31 19:40:04 +0000 UTCNot really sure if it was coronavirus or not, but it wasn't a fun week and even though I really wanted to keep working, the headache was too much to overcome. After a few days of gradual recovery in my symptoms, I'm only left with a temperature in the higher range of normal that doesn't really bother me. Since today I've felt better, I took the opportunity to finish what I started a week ago.
- Finished drawing the scene that has a WiP post on Saturday. (it will be seen in the game in this release)
- Added the pajama outfit for all body types
- Fixed all the bugs that lead to the quest, so that it can be safely started.
- Player's bed and dreams passages use the pajama outfit for immersion, for now.
- Added the possibility to meditate in Player Room when energy is above or equal than 20 or smaller or equal than 20 but above 1. it passes time 2 times, meaning a time of the day like Dawn becomes Midday (Dawn, Morning, Midday). it also heals the player by 20 points and reduces lust by 20 points.
- Updated Alberto's first conversation within this chapter so that it reflects his character better.
- Added the CSS for thoughts to the game. I need to add a widget that picks the right CSS class to use depending on the Lust level.
This is the last development update for this initial release of v0.1.0. I am working to fix any bugs left from the quest and to stylize some speeches where applicable and then I will post the new version by the end of the day, together with some steps in case you want to reach the quest's content sooner.
There isn't really much other than the quest for now sadly, this initial release marks a version to be built upon by adding more content and by gradually improving the game with every iteration. The illness slowed me down a lot on objectives I wanted to reach by now, but since I promised a release by the end of the month I can at least keep up that promise.
After I release the new version, I will update SugarCube to the last version and I will set the next goals for the next release. I want to try for a weekly release schedule with incremental, albeit possibly buggy updates.
