New Price Target For Tesla Stock

Dear ROIC Academy members, let’s take a step back and put things in perspective. The stock is down 19% in the past 5 days, 28% over the last month, and nearly 28% YTD, yet even after all that, it’s still up 45% from this time last year. Context matters.

Near-term volatility is being driven by politics, declining sales in key markets like the U.S. and Europe, and the usual media circus around Elon Musk. None of this changes Tesla’s long-term trajectory. The fundamentals remain strong. The company is still executing on major growth initiatives—Cybertruck production ramping, the refreshed Model 3 rolling out, and most importantly, the energy storage business scaling rapidly. The energy division is becoming a serious profit engine with better margins than automotive, and the market isn’t fully pricing it in yet.

Beyond cars, Tesla’s AI and robotics play is still in its early stages. Optimus is progressing, FSD is improving, and these segments represent multi-trillion-dollar opportunities over time. Institutions aren’t dumping Tesla. The big money knows how this game works—short-term price action doesn’t dictate long-term value. This dip is pushing the stock back to levels where serious long-term investors tend to step in. Personally, I’m planning to increase my holdings via dca as always, because I see long-term gains from here.

2025 was not a good year for the stock so far (as of Feb 27, 2025), however Tesla still has ambitious targets, aiming for 2 million+ deliveries this year. If they execute, the stock will reflect it. The short-term noise doesn’t change the fact that the company is still growing, still innovating, and still pushing the boundaries of multiple industries. My one-year price target remains $500-550, because I believe Tesla’s expansion in AI, robotics, and energy will continue to drive massive upside.

Short-term volatility is the price of admission for long-term gains. If you believe in Tesla’s future, you shouldn’t be panicking, you should be paying attention. The long game is still intact.
