My tones for etude #1

I wanted to share how I got my tone for etude #1 with you guys. I keep things pretty simple, mainly using compression and subtractive eq. For the main clean / breakup tone I used the Mixwave Benson Chimera plugin. It's a great boutique amp for edge of breakup stuff. For the lead I used bogren digital mlc subzero 100 which is another boutique amp plugin that has nice higher gain tones. I also used mixwaves 1981 drv plugin at the very front of that chain. The plugin I use for subtractive eq is Pro Q 4. Its dynamic eq option is great for this purpose. 2k and 4k areas are where I end up needing to cut the most. sometimes the lower mids need taming depending on what I'm playing. Below you can download the preset files for both amp plugin tones. "etude #1" is for the benson chimera, and "etude #1 lead" is for the mlc subzero 100 plugin. Hope you all enjoy 🙂
