Development progress 02/26/23
Added 2023-02-27 01:33:31 +0000 UTC Hey ( ˙▿˙ )/
Bein importing stuff to unity, and realized that im doing the same mistake as before with drawing sprites, which will make me manually cut them.
What's different is that i don't have as much of them yet, and im fucking up slightly less. Which means i probably won't have to spend hundreds of hours inconveniently cutting the sprites (maximum dozens :^))
Trying really hard to foresee any difficulties with sprites, because it will take the most time to overtake.
Here's seven parts of the MC imported (and 4 more to go with the head)
Junko from hima only had 3 btw, head torso and legs (and it was painful)

I found couple problems i might gave, so after fixing them putting animations together and editing/replacing parts should be pretty streamlined and easy (i hope)
background is empty atm, there will be plenty objects on top of it (some of them ready), and a bit more shadows (animated too). I would show how current version looks like, but there is too much random shit on top of it :3
Also im gonna try to implement big dynamic shadow for MC on the walls, i fiddled a little with it, and i have to solve couple issues which i don't have any idea how to fix yet, but it looks sick i think ( ˙▿˙ )
I will try to finish importing and put animations together next week, so i can do some dialogues and write some code for interaction systems.
i hope next week i could sleep better then this one
A bit too much rambling, sorry :^)
back to importing, cya!

2023-02-28 07:52:24 +0000 UTCsome parts are harder to isolate also. Like some boob animations pulling shadows up to neck. Maybe i just have to combine upper torso and boobs in one piece. Doesn't make too much sense separating them, i don't remember why i did it :D ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Bonus rant :^)

2023-02-28 04:05:30 +0000 UTCI am cutting them anyway, but it takes much longer if your layers are a mess. If you split your drawing into layers the way you want to cut your sprite (layer for armms, layer for legs etc), you are basically have correct parts already. Like you can see here there is part near armpit, and i have no idea on which layer some pixel are. Some on torso layer, some on arm layer, some on boobs layer. So I have to fix that part manually every time im making arm/boob sprite. hope that make sense :p

2023-02-27 13:31:40 +0000 UTCYou don't have to answer this but I am curious, what is the mistake you are making with drawing your sprites that causes you to have to cut them?
