Some changes for the future
Added 2025-01-12 10:54:40 +0000 UTCI've ben monitoring how things develop over the last months and i have come to the conclusion, that i have to change a few things. I feel like my supporters deserve an explanation to all of these changes, so here i go:
end of the month, i'll increase some of the subscription prices.
- $1 -> $2
- $3 -> $4
- $5 -> $6
- $10 and $30 will be unchanged
the reason for this is, that both patreon and subscribestar take a flat sum for
each subscription and then some, leaving me with only around 50 cents for
a $1 subscription. in addition to this, my supporter count has been relatively
stagnant, though higher tier supporters have been leaving while mostly $1
tiers have been joining and my income has been in a steady decline since
september. I let you guys know now, so that anyone who wishes to cancel
their subscription or reduce their tier has enough time to do so.
when i lowered the amount of fanart fridays each month, i definitely did a good thing for my mental health, however i feel like i did my $3 and up supporter a bit dirty as now every other month, there is only one supporter poll. In response to this, i'll remove the public polls completely. The amount of polls wont change though, there will still be one poll every other week
while i'm still passionate about MousseQuest, i feel like i put too much focus on it in the last weeks and months. The amount i posted on my socials has been in a steady decline and i have to face it, MousseQuest doesnt bring in much money. The surge in subscribers after each release has always been short lived and most of the new subscribers cancelled within the month and never came back. I therefore will put MousseQuest a bit more on the backburner and focus more on making new Art for my socials, but also exclusive art for my supporters. I'll still try to release a new Update every 5-6 weeks or so, but will slightly lower the scope of them, if needed.
