Patreon Patrons Day | HWS 11 Universe | Part 2

Dear HWS Patrons,

unfortunately the last days and ongoing, it's a hell of stress, frustration and resignation.

I knew Alpha 11 will be a problem regarding CPU and the new weird flight controller.
But that is nothing in comparison to the technical issues and bugs.

Alpha 10.X reached almost a "stable" feeling and it's all broken again.
Especially Instance Stargate Missions, something I am currently so hard pushing, got now fundamental issues, when players are stuck in the loading screen after playing them.
This hits my motivation a lot.

Anyways, all that was the reason I couldn't keep you updated on the HWS 11 work in progress, as I hoped to do.
HWS 11 has overall lost a lot of time because of Alpha 11.

Enough of the sad reality, there is also a good one!

First, today is the Patreon Patrons day! So I want to thank you as well myself honestly for being part of this crazy idea, hosting a game for almost 4 years and spending hundreds, thousands of hours into it - for you!
I really thank you and hope you follow me on this insane path of non stop uncertainty, mystery, hope, joy, patience and satisfaction.


HWS 11 Universe update 2

Let's continue a bit with the Universe and what I said in the previous post.

Next time I explain the outer PvE ring and go in more detail about the inner PvP ring and how it affects resource distribution 

So as you saw, the Universe is mainly split into 4 "areas", because we have 4 Origins.
We also still have a "progression" within the universe - from PvE outside, to PvP inside.

As a logical step, everyone assumes right, that the goal within 3 months (a season) will be to reach the center of the universe for not only high risk = high reward but also choke point for a lot of interactions with other players.
Remember: ECC will be in the center!

I still have to check the implementation of a "PvE travel path" from the outside to the inside, but be sure that the PvP areas in the center won't have easy escape routes to PvE!


A big advantage of this "4-star" layout is also my intention to rework the resource contribution from zero or better to say as I initially had it in my mind with HWS 1 and HWS 2 - 3-4 years ago.

The idea is to have one "master" resource per "area". So you have 4 master resources in total and if you want to get the other master resource, you have to travel, trade, find or order.

The cool part will be to have dedicated trading routes and rewards doing them. With that layout I can implement dedicated hauler missions and you can participate on those missions.

There are still some challenges to work on though. The overall intentions of most players "where can I settle". This question has tons of implications I am currently working on.

One approach for example will be new and dedicated "Reward Supergates".
Only with the proper criteria met, you will be able to use them and celebrate your succeed.

4 new reward playfields with increasing RP requirement (Cor = 100RP, Earth-X = 500 RP, Mars-X = 1000 RP, Paradise = 5000 RP)

I still have to work on all of that but finishing concepts is not that hard, than making concepts in the first place. If I don't get disturbed... I'm still looking forward to the next 3 weeks.
