On the hunt for a rare beast core to help her become the youngest cultivator to break into the Sky Realm in Monolith continent’s history, Xiao Huifen is ambushed by a monstrous beast that shouldn’t even exist in the Redwood Aurora. Forced to flee, she soon finds herself running low on energy and facing certain death. A voice calls out to her.
She turns toward it, scurrying after one last glimmer of hope. A young man steps out from behind a tree with a cultivation a full realm lower than her own. She quickly decides to try to save the courageous fool when he commands the wind, pushing her aside, and stands to face the dire beast alone.

2021-09-11 21:35:09 +0000 UTCYou seem very concerned about how dark this gets, but I don't understand why. In order to have high highs you need low lows. Just take something like the Kingkiller Chronicle where [SPOILER] the MC's entire family is murdered and he spends a good portion of she book as a street kid living in squalor and misery. You need to show the harsh realities of the world in order to to make the good parts feel like they mean something. I know LitRPGs often stay fairly upbeat (I know this isn't LitRPG, but many of your readers are fans of that genre), but that's to their detriment in my opinion. I'll update you on this topic after I finish Prodigies.

Think a mix of Game of Thrones and a cultivation fantasy, without the excessive gory details. Thanks for for the well wishes. I haven't been this nervous since the first book I've published.

Seems like you are really excited and proud of this one, and I've been dying for something new to read. Congrats on getting this out. So stoked to finally get this!
