Update - What's Coming!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and good holiday season. I want to thank you all for your support and the great feedback in the comments section of the chapters. I read each and every one of them. They are a great help in motivating me. So, big cheers!

With Underworld book 6 officially written, now comes the real work for me. Editing, cover art, etc.. Below is a quick run down of what's going to be happening over the next couple of weeks. I'll also give a general idea of what you can expect for new chapters, what book is coming next and the like at the bottom.

Book Title

First of all, I've decided on the title, Underworld - Scorching Sun. I think it has been the easiest book in the series to find a title for. It fits a pivotal moment for the main character and is epic in every sense.

Editing

I want you guys  to be very aware of the editing for this book since it's longer than every other book in the series and the second longest book I've ever written. With its length comes a longer editing schedule. My editor has decided to split it up in two parts. The first 80,000s will be edited Jan. 1 and the second will start on the 18th of the month. So it's starting quickly but it will be more extended than normal. This could mean a delay in chapters.

Cover

So I've decided to use the scene where Elorion fights Manu Shah instead of the scene where Scorching Sun more accurately applies. (For those of you that haven't read the earlier chapters on Patreon, don't worry, you shouldn't know who that is yet.) There will be hints of what happens, but nothing that blatantly gives anything away. I don't mind spoilers in my covers, but I feel that certain scene just give too much away in this case. The title should be enough of a hint.

Next Book

I am going to start working on Codename: Freedom soon. This will require me to go through and read the entire series while reconnecting with its characters. I'll also have to get into Lucius's headspace again. This process takes a bit more time than just reading the books so bear with me. I hope to have chapters out in January, but with the editing and having to refocus on the characters, it's hard to put a date on it. I'll try to be much better with updates in the coming days and not leave you hanging.

Surprise Coming

I've found it very difficult to work on more than one book at a time, but sometimes I get in the right emotional and mental state where I'm very engaged in a story and writing. I think you've all noticed that the last couple weeks of Underworld chapters have come much smoother than earlier ones in the book. This isn't because they are better than the earlier ones, but because I was very emotionally engaged so it was easy to slip into the characters.

At the same time, there's a cultivation story idea I've been holding back from writing for a couple years now. Because I've been in the right state of mind, I've been able to do some work on it on the side. I hope to start publishing chapters on it, at least of what I've got so far, while you're waiting for me to get going on Codename. It's rough title is Heaven's Laws Prodigy. 

Note: This side project shouldn't delay Codename Chapter by much, if any. I'm very emotionally engaged in the story right now so I'm taking advantage of that while I'm doing the tedious editing and stuff over the next couple weeks.
