Konoha Maximum Security Prison

–Peter Parker–

He looked up, as the guard slid him a tray of food that was tasteless, awful in texture, and nothing but water to wash it down with, but it was food, and honestly? It had all the nutrients needed for his body, which was something sorely missing back home.

As he nodded at the guard, who nodded minutely back at him before shutting the small flap, and leaving, his mind went to the applications of such a thing, if it was cheap to produce. Aside from feeding criminals, it could also be used to feed the starving, to stave off World Hunger in a way that incentivizes people to earn money to taste good food but also does not let them just die because they did not have money to get food.

As he went through his portions, which were twice the size of any average prisoner here–he was told so by Hekima, one of the guards with whom he’d built a decent rapport, his mind wandered towards the squiggles drawn on every corner of this room.

Before coming here, he would have been very skeptical about their existence, let alone try to learn them, but for the past year or so that he had been in this place, there had been nothing for him to do, except count the days, and look at the squiggly lines everywhere.

They were seals, an art form capable of changing reality itself with words, which was astonishing. They were also notoriously difficult to learn, save for one obscure clan that went extinct in the last war, known as the Uzumaki Clan.

Another victim of war. According to what he read and heard from shinobi and common people alike, was that the Uzumaki were growing too powerful for the other Shinobi Village’s comfort, which forced them to band together and commit genocide, wiping the Uzumaki off the map.

Now, he was no Uzumaki, but after months of staring at something, months of poking and prodding at it with his chakra, months of letting his body be covered in his special bones so that the seals have no effect on his internal systems, he had figured some stuff out.

Not even close to 10% yet, but he had all the time in the world. So far, he had figured out that Minato Namikaze had placed these seals, but they were nowhere as tight as they could be.

There were multiple conditions here that—

His head snapped up, the utensils falling down, only to be caught by his hands as he looked straight up, as he felt a chakra that raised the hair on the back of his neck, feeling something heavy pressing down upon him.

He got up, and placed the utensil near the flap, before closing his eyes and concentrating. He had gotten a couple of gifts in the form of this body, one of which was the gift of extra sensory perception, even beyond what his Spider Sense granted him.

He went beyond the seals on the prison, which were oddly not restrictive enough, beyond the prison hallways, wincing at the vile chakra he felt dripping from the prisoners here, but that was nothing compared to the sheer malevolence he could feel from the chakra pressing down upon all of them.

There were no alarms yet, but he could feel many of the other prisoners waking up as well, likely feeling uneasy because of the—

His eyes snapped open as he staggered back, bracing himself by grabbing the wall nearby, as a tsunami of corrosive chakra flooded the entire village, it would seem, as he heard screams, shouts, and alarms blaring throughout the prison.

“Hekima!” He shouted, banging the prison bars, trying to get the attention of the attendant who was closest to him. Over time, seeing that he was not going to snap their heads off, many of the guards here were cool with him but Hekima was the one who was the one who liked to gossip the most, keeping him updated with what was going on above ground.

Hell, the fact that they were underground was also supposed to be unknown to them but Hekima had blurted that out one day, not that he did not already know that he was underground.

“Hekima!” He shouted once more, cursing as he received no reply, his voice likely not reaching Hekima over all the alarms. It was impossible to sense anything through his sea of vile chakra, and there wasn’t much time.

He had not personally experienced it yet, but he was pretty sure that it was a Tailed Beast that was responsible for this. He’d read the reports of people going mad, shinobi and commoners alike, when exposed to malevolent chakra, so corrosive that it damaged people’s chakra systems even from far away.

Something so inhuman, it had to be the Tailed Beasts and if that was true, then Konoha was in danger. The Yellow Flash was strong, almost uncatchable by anyone alive, but a Tailed Beast was a whole different story, especially if the Yellow Flash had to take care of the village as well.

He winced as a second, more intense wave of chakra crashed through the facility, taking with it the power as emergency lights came back on. Looking at the squiggly lines once more, he wondered why Namikaze kept them visible and highly readable, instead of completely hiding them, which he could do.

Then, he exhaled, and in one fell swoop, parted the bars to his prison, breaking some, bending few, and shattering the rest, as he jumped through it, and began running to the hallways.

His escape immediately drew the attention of the prisoners as they neared their prison bars, looking and shouting at him. Ignoring them, he burst through the reinforced door, feeling the taste of chakra on his skin, as he reinforced his already durable body, ready to take any attack, but his eyes widened as all he found was an empty office space.

He perked up, his ears picking up on a grinding noise, as he ran through two walls before finally finding people. Hefting two unconscious people on his shoulders, he ran like hell, following that grinding noise that had now turned into a squeaky noise.

Bursting through yet another door, he saw an elevator closing in on him. On instinct, he opened his mouth as a tooth shot out of it at breakneck speeds, stabbing into the button he saw on the right side, another tooth growing instantly to take the empty place, as the door stopped and then screeched open, revealing…”Hekima!”

He shouted in relief as he jumped into the elevator, pausing as all three of them, including Hekima, looked as if they were about to piss their pants in his presence. Setting down the two weaker people, he turned to Hekima, “What is happening? Is it an attack? I sensed the attack all the way from down here.” Saying so, he pressed the buttons on the lift, the door closing with a metallic groan before the lift began ascending.

The technological advancements of the world were all over the place, not making sense at all when he looked at the technological tree of any Hidden Village. It was all lopsided, with things like electricity, radio commonplace, and yet, no major storage effort done to store all the media taken by cameras.

It was all just live footage, watched over by shinobi. As far as he knew, anyway.

The lift began accelerating as he turned to Hekima, “I found them collapsed in one of the doorways. Don’t worry, I only broke through my prison cell. Everyone else is still in their cells and even if they did come out, they would have to deal with the attack outside before tasting freedom.”

Hekima was the only one who nodded, while the rest were ready with a kunai in their hands, likely waiting for the reinforcements they expected to be on the other side of the lift’s doors.

He didn’t wait for a response because as soon as the doors opened, which were likely laced with some seals, his senses were assaulted with the malevolent chakra once more, disoriented him for a split second, before he powered through it and jumped into the hallway.

Ignoring the shinobi who gawked at him for a moment before jumping at him, he sensed that they were just below the ground, so he grinned at the incoming shinobi, who smiled at him, and then jumped up.

Using his ridiculous strength, amped up by active chakra reinforcement, he made a hole in the ceiling, which was likely reinforced, and through the ground as he burst out of it, only to pause and watch with his jaw hanging open.

A giant Nine-Tailed Fox was wreaking havoc across the village, with scores of Jutsu, which looked absolutely tiny compared to the Fox’s size, being hurled towards him, the impacts not even being noticed as the Fox was moving, to the center of the city.

A single Tail slamming on the ground was like a localised earthquake going off, and a sweep likely resulted in dozens of shinobi deaths, not to mention the property damage.

It was only for a second, as he paused before the shocking sight in front of him, before he was gone, towards the Nine Tails.
