Dev update #1

First off, I'm moving toward a more interactive version of the faction system. There are now dialogues that open up when you click on a neutral NPC, which currently only possess options for management (convincing them to follow you, etc). However, in the future, I'm looking to figure out ways to have friendly factions 'expect' more of you, allowing yourself to eventually fall into a submissive or a dominant position depending on your choices and what you do for them. Of course, that's all in the future, but for now we do have a faction system and dialogue system and are working toward it. I'd love if people want to write some dialogue for the game, although it can look a little intimidating to be sure.
Second, I've started adding bosses to the game, culminating with a boss on floor 6. She is a fairly straightforward fight, tossing many bullets at you and applying some punishing restraints if you end up getting hit. One of my goals in adding bosses is to basically add some 'milestones' for the player to prepare for. Since you have the option to submit at the end even if you win (and get a bonus for doing so!) even submissive players ought to attempt to win, although if you're lazy you can just get tied up by her instead. :) I'll be looking to flesh out the win/lose dialogues for her so you can get dressed in her super special restraints.
Third, I've been doing a bit of refactoring. Things this allows are:
- Easier modding
- Wider potential variety of restraints. I'm eyeing having stacking handcuffs (e.g. someone locks you in 3 pairs of handcuffs to make it extra tight) among other things
- Potentially more variants of areas, like a dusty library or a deeper section of the ancient tombs
Finally, there's a few new bells and whistles such as vibration sound effects, a new type of trap to force the player into fights more often, infinite log scrolling, and a few new enemy types.
