Update!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to post some quick updates:

First of all, I have finally decided to start making TUTORIALS as of next month.

I've spent a majority of this month collecting and organizing my resources, as well as organizing my thoughts in pursuit of that goal. I will still need to actually write and create the tutorials, which is why I'm saying that they're starting next month but can't yet promise that they'll be out next month, but they will be coming.

Now, whether that be through video or image format, I haven't decided yet. It will likely depend on the topic.

Speaking of the topics, I will be posting a three day poll at the start of next month on topics that I would like to cover first.

These won't necessarily be "basics" to start with though. As in, I may not start from the beginning and work my way up, since I'm more interested in what my audience wants to learn from me compared to just making something more general, so I might tackle something specific first instead (like lips), it would just depend on the outcome of the poll.

I would post the poll now, but it doesn't make sense for people who would not be receiving the tutorials to vote on what tutorials they want to see, so if you're interested in that then I highly recommend that you pledge. 

You can vote on polls even in the lowest tier, but keep in mind that you will have to be silver tier or higher to actually see the full tutorials (or buy them on my website after the fact, but they'll cost more than just pledging here), with most of whatever art I end up making specifically for the tutorials also being exclusive to bronze tier patrons.

Now, next order of business, on top of the tutorials:

Full on animation work for the SweetCanvas animated opening will also begin in May.

This is because, due to his schedule finally opening up for the entire month, this is by far the best time to work together with Weilin to see much of it completed, since as you might expect if you know about him, he is understandably extremely busy.

Now, this will be a bit to juggle alongside the tutorials, but thankfully I'm not working on it alone, plus I made all of those preparations this past month exactly so that I'm putting as little pressure on myself this month as possible.

That being said, I plan to pay Weilin the rates that an animator of his caliber deserves, but I still also need to live. So the more money that I have, the better the opening will be, and on top of that, I'll also be able to put more time into the tutorials if I can afford to mostly act in a directing role for the opening as opposed to doing most of the shots and post production myself, which I would have to if I can't afford any other options.

So what I'm trying to say is, whether you're someone who is really excited to see animated SweetCanvas content from me, or if you just want the art tutorials, either way, pledging is the best way to make sure that both of those things will be completed in a timely manner, so I would really appreciate it if you would consider it!!

Lastly, my rent is $795, with it raising to $845 by August, so ideally, it would be nice if we could hit at least the first of those goals, since it would really take a major load off my shoulders if I could at least guarantee that I'll not be gradually losing money every month.

Either way though, again, thank you to everyone who stuck around this month and everyone who has been supporting me for so long in general. I really appreciate all of you more than I can express and I'm really sorry about the radio silence this month as well as the kind of botched year so far in general honestly, there's just been a lot going on in my personal life as well as all of the work stuff that I've been trying to juggle on top of that, and I've honestly just been pretty overwhelmed.

I'll do my best to pick things back up again though, and ideally in a way that's much more directly beneficial to all of you than what I've been doing so far. Thank you for reading if you did, and I'll be back again soon with that poll!
