SweetCanvas Weekly #10

Hello again! This will be a fairly sparse update but I figured I'd post one anyway:

• Rather than working on sprites too much, I've been doing a lot of scene layouts (refer to weekly #4 if you're unsure as to what that entails). Most of them are just slice of life and therefore not very interesting, so I'll just include a few in various areas as a means of also showing off some of the environments:

• As you can see in two of the layouts, Isa's Room and its numerous variants had been slowly progressing throughout all of last month, and as of yesterday I've been sent the final batch of outstanding alts, meaning that there are just eight backgrounds left to purchase for the demo.

Alys's Room and Trophy Room due to when they appear (at the very start of Alys's route proper, and therefore at the very end of the demo if you're on track for that route) can potentially be put on hold, since I can cut the demo at an earlier point if I choose to, putting that number down to just six but we'll see how it goes.

• Animation is on the same schedule as before, confirmed with Weilin recently, meaning that starting around April of next year you'll start seeing a substantial number of work in progress animation clips here, so look forward to that.

That's all for now as far as general updates go! Of course, I've also been writing in between commissions as well as working on character expressions and such as the need arises on a scene by scene basis, but I'm always doing that.

Thankfully, commissions have been going really well so there won't be any money troubles with regards to the remaining demo expenses unless something unforeseen happens (hopefully not a jinx) but that also means that for the entirety of December and possibly the start of January, commissions are more or less all you're going to see, but next year will be a big year for progress as I complete the sprites and finally get fully into working on the CGs, the aforementioned animation work and so on!
