another (!?) update

hi
hello
My health is still, uh, shall we say, "very concerning and not good," but I am, at least for the moment, not in literally debilitating pain. So that's nice and has allowed me to plug away at projects.
I played through the Nier Replicant remake (it's good,) took a lot of footage, and wasn't really sure what to do with it. I wound up cutting it into something along the lines of the DS video--a quasi chronological slice of the game presented in a format that amuses me. I'm not sure if people like these or "get" them, honestly, but I kind of enjoy making them.
I was planning to do a re-cut of it to clean a couple things up, but decided today that it doesn't need it, so I'm releasing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=et69MbI-f68
I have also been playing a lot of zomboid since the MP update. A lot-lot. I have, uh, a deeply concerning amount of footage. Like, so much that I had to fish out some old, half dead HDDs and swap them in just to dump it. I am not sure what I'm going to do with it at this point since I really need to go through it all (and I'm still accruing more...) before I can figure out what form it's going to take, but my early thinking is that i'll cut it into something episodic, akin to my old CK2 "chronicles of bullshit" videos.
in any case, I cut a "trailer" of footage from before we reset the server. May make it public, may not, I dunno, but, assuming I don't lapse back into unmanageable pain or be reduced to a puddle by soul-crushing existential dread, I do plan to do something with it. anyone that is still following me will be the first to know as it takes shape.

Other stuff:
-I am still (STILL) working on the KSP project. I have had to reshoot 100% of my mission footage for technical reasons, and that has been slow going. I have about 15 hours of timelapse footage still from when I started it, and I want to do something with it, but, as I think I've mentioned before, I want that to be an addendum to the main, tightly edited video. And I've had to reshoot that footage 3 times since I started work on it at the end of 2019.
On the plus side, KSP sure looks nice these days.

Fingers crossed that mods don't break (again) before I get the rest of the footage.
-I've also been working on a Battlefleet Gothic thing for, god, over a year at this point. It's not long (~5 mins,) but it is the most fiddly thing I've ever done and it takes hours to produce 20 seconds of footage I'm happy with. I typically plug away at it for a week and then shelve it for a few months because it's very draining for some reason. I like the idea, though, and so long as I don't drop dead I plan to see it through.

-I returned to Long Dark after a hiatus as well. Anyone that has stuck around on here for a long time (thank you, btw) will probably remember how I have been promising a TLD video for quite some time. The tl;dr about TLD is basically that I wound up not having enough footage for what I'd wanted to do, and I couldn't really just take more because the game had been updated so much that by that point the old stuff wouldn't mesh with the new. So I had to start from scratch, and I waited until they'd rolled out their big updates to do that.

I now have several TB of footage to work with because it looks so nice these days.
-Finally, I really enjoyed Yakuza 0 when I played it in 2018 and regretted that I never did anything with it. I've been working my way through the remasters of the rest of the series lately, and I've been taking plenty of footage. I have some early stuff done, and it makes me laugh, so hopefully it will shape up into something. This will probably be the first thing among these other projects I finish, because I think it will be quite easy to put together once I start in earnest on it.

-The YIR to end all YIRs (I know, I know, I know. lol. it was a massively daunting project before I lost it all and then had to recover 100% of the footage from literally 400+ hours of raw. it's something I plug away at periodically. It will be done as long as I don't drop dead first.)
Anyway, that's about it. I intend to keep plugging away at stuff if people want to watch it.
I appreciate that people have stayed subbed despite my inconsistency. I've honestly thought about ending my patreon because, at this point, production isn't a high priority for me and it's pretty clear it's never going to be a viable way to make a living. But I figure that I've been pretty up front about the state of things, so anybody that is still on board knows what they're on board for and, honestly, having the patreon is something that motivates me to work on things, because it allows my weird and broken brain to realize that at least some people still want to see what it produces.
Until I've got more to show you: take care.
