I have been collecting ideas for potential new OCs for quite a while now but couldn't really decide on one, to be honest. So I thought before I throw them all out the window, I’d at least show them to you. Maybe you like some of them, or maybe you find them all terrible—I don't know.
I'll have to make this a multi-part post because there are quite a few. I still have to go through my folders to find them all... Some of them are quite old by now.
None of the characters have names yet. I have only briefly thought about their characteristics and general concepts, but I haven't given them too much thought.
I thought having a cowgirl as an OC would be really nice. Since I already have a farming character with Moonika, I thought: How about a cowgirl who gets bought by a human but doesn't really understand how that works? So she needs help with lots of things and doesn't really understand why the human bought her in the first place.
While trying out different variations of hairstyles and colors, I ended up with either a purple-haired or white-haired design. I decided that if I create a cowgirl character, she would have short to medium curly hair with blunt bangs. For some reason, I find straight, long hair mostly pretty boring... I don’t know why. 😅
I had thought about making a proper MILF character before, but then I figured—why not make a tiny mommy elf girl instead?
The concept behind her is that she lives with a grown human who is really dependent on her and can't take care of his apartment himself. So she has to cook, clean, wash/shower him, etc... you get the idea. I haven't really figured out why she is there yet, but I could imagine something like her being part of a cleaning service or an exchange program.
For her looks, I thought of light brown hair, glasses, and light brown eyes to match her hair, along with a turtleneck sweater and a short skirt. I wasn’t sure about her skin color, which is why I created two versions.
Unlike most of my OCs, this mermaid is less on the cute side and designed to look more mature. Out of the three I am presenting here, she is the one I have given the least background thought to so far.
I just experimented with different designs, picturing a mermaid with a spear or lance. She should look like someone who protects a treasure or something similar—I didn’t want to create just a cute little mermaid. Instead, I had a tough, protective one in mind.
These are the first 3 designs I wanted to share. Part 2 will follow shortly. Let me know which one is your favorite, which one you liked or not and also feel free to type your own ideas in the comments.
