Ymir Concept Sketch

Time to reveal more Proliferation Cycle force pack art since it's public now.

For the Ymir I really liked Matt Plog's existing fan redesign version, so I asked him if he or I could make some changes to push it through as an official design. He deferred the task over to me, so I got to work on it.

It's extremely lanky for an assault mech, but has a really cool look. I gave it the proper weapons loadout, tweaked some torso shapes, and made it a bit more 3D modeler friendly perspective wise.

Who's looking forward to this pack? I feel it's a funky item to produce considering all the options, but the bosses pay the bills and can have their special projects made :)

No just IMP I saw that one too!

This is one of the packs I'm most excited about. I'd love to see more campaigns set during the days of the Terran Hegemony's ascendancy, and the early days of the reunification war. Having nice looking, period accurate mechs is a real boon. The Snord's Irregulars forcepack was an excellent surprise too. Bravo to you all for that!

Just saw the Battleaxe redesing, definitely better than the old one from the TRO but still too apart from the original Battletechnology art or the fan 3063 rendition, it is very bulky not reflecting the nimbleness of the original

Nice looking but not something that's grabbing my interest and this is coming from someone who has been into the game since the 90s. A pack with more wanted mechs like a Word of Blake pack may have made more money in the long run.

Interesting choice for a model from the Age of War era. As there is no real "upgraded", modernized variant besides the BWP-3A it remains to see if this model gets a widespread use. But the sketch design looks awesome, really like it!

Alexandro Gallone

We might have more examples than you think. From my experience the angle always subtly shows, so it's best to accurately angle them rather than go 90 degrees all the time.

I’m excited about this pack. I think it’s good to open up interest one of the lesser played eras.

The Battleaxe concept art can already be seen on Eldoniusrex' website : astray3

Nice, but slight apprehension upon seeing missile ports in angled surfaces (does not always translate well into the plastic being used).

TIM STRAUVEN

But definitely getting for the Mackie alone I love the redesing from legends

Carlos Ibanez

Also intrigued to see how the firebee and gladiator will look like, the original gladiator mini was "different" and the firebee suffered the same "ifluences" as the Battleaxe.

Carlos Ibanez

What an unexpected surprise, I hope that the battleaxe gets a serious overhaul as the original TRO art was kind of lacking (too many tau/celestial influences).

Looks good, and I hope you use Bishop Steiner's Imp, when you get around to it!

Robert Moore

I think it looks like a great update, but I am a little surprised at the whole concept of the proliferation pack. Some of these units were pretty obscure. I do plan to get one though.

Peter Shah

Since you asked, my only interest in that pack is for the Mackie. And then only because I'm trying to paint all the minis from the Battletech Legends book.
