Here's the Visigoth sketch everyone saw on the box art prototype. Usually they'd put a final lineart piece on the boxes but we don't quite have the model done yet, let alone lines.
For a little peek into how our design team has been going last year, we'd have likely had all kickstarter 3D assets done already, but as CGL announcements and releases show we really went hard on straight to retail products such as the new Beginners Box, AS Box, coming Merc packs, coming Urbie lance pack, and even more.
While it was extremely hard being so close to finishing this huge project, yet consistently refocused, I think it's understandable that the bosses wanted there to be a trickle of new product to keep players engaged rather than leaving a multi year gap between releases.
Now as for the Visigoth. To me the original looked a lot like the U-2 spy plane, so I started by working more of that feeling into it, along with a bit of B-1 Lancer. Word from above called for a broader fuselage, much to my dismay and dreams for a skinny boy. You can see that in the widening out midsection that leads into the wings.
The wings have a degree of swing wing capability by the way, more logically allowing for that original straight wing look.
More U-2 influence was growing forward the wing pods and making them weapon omnipod bays, in the way they were surveillance bays on the U-2.
For casting and style purposes, I did not attempt to have the tail elevators connect to the wing pods.

Enjoy!
