Would require two lanes. Lore seems to lean into urban centers having some accommodations for mech movement which absolutely need two lanes of space, so I'd think it not too inhibiting. It'd be hardened enough to plow over street lamps and such if needed.

If the MASH were a more limited capability vehicle I'd say a more classic RV shape would fit your reasoning well. But the lore says it has 5 operating tables, that takes a lot of space on top of equipment storage and such. On the final model it's still rather cramped. Wouldn't have pushed the beetle shape just because ;) I do agree though, we can't hit it for everyone every time.

No, he's right. Even mobile games have been told to remove red cross symbols. It violates the Geneva Convention, of all things.

TRO 3025 writeup says that MASH Trucks are rarely if ever fired on intentionally because they treat the wounded of both sides, although attempts are made to steal them sometimes and the lasers are meant to deter that. It also says some doctors have the armament removed on ethical grounds. The Ares Conventions never had any real force, though. The Star League was the first to abrogate them.

So... Did the inner sphere actually have respect for the rules of armed conflict when it comes to marked medical personnel and equipment? Because the fact it comes default equipped with obvious weapon systems that disqualify it from protections makes me wonder what Hell the Ares conventions were supposed to be about.

Honestly, boring, believable utility is one of the things I like about certain BT art. Most of my least favorite 'mechs are the ones where I don't believe the joints could actually bend in three dimensions. I also like the old coolant truck, which doesn't look much different from an aviation refueling vehicle. Ah well. I suppose it's too much to ask for each and every entry to hit my personal aesthetic sense.
