Mobile Long Tom Concept Sketch

Did you see this one coming? Mobile Long Tom artillery.

The ultimate support unit, so deep into support you might not even have it on the table haha. So this one falls really nicely into the map objective token category for spicing up your games. Or those getting fancy could resolve players flanking the OpFor's artillery on a separate map sheet.

This will also be our first unit that comes on a whopping two bases. One for the main artillery vehicle, and one for the ammo and crew trailers.

Those who use these in games will notice the trailer configuration doesn't quite match the old record sheets. They've never really worked well, I believe they went through an early retcon that was more a band aid than anything. This time they're being hit with a "make it truly work" retcon that will reconfigure that trailer system. I don't know if that means we'll have 3 trailer sheets, or a single sheet that conglomerates all 3 trailers (I hope so), but gone is the old even longer train.

This change allowed me to drop the constraints of the old sheets and go in with the goal of designing a new cool and appealing land train artillery piece that works visually first, THEN the sheets will be built around that. No vague restrictions that stifle the look.

A few detail references remain with the old piece, but on the whole this was a "blow it up" task. Mixing modern artillery mechanics with scifi retro and modern explorer concept vehicle aesthetics.
Yep, that's a loading crane on the back, and the two ammo trailers actually fit all the ammo comfortably. I counted :)

I've put my link stamp on this one for sharing, but what I ask is for ya'll to wait until day one of Gencon, mid day Thursday August 4th. Then you can let it loose on the community to start the con off with a blast... of artillery support.
