Kraken 3D Sculpt
Added 2021-05-26 07:05:17 +0000 UTCFurther settling into my new render setup. If I get the right HDR image and ensure the horizon isn't visible, I can still pull off those moody low angle shots. Can definitely use more improvement though.
Next test subject is the Kraken/Bane. Sculpted by Alan Blackwell and cleaned up by me.
Some may call it ugly, but I like it :)

2021-05-27 21:08:14 +0000 UTCThere's the small machinegun angle, and sometimes I also design things in a way to allow other weapons. That pod can easily mount other small direct fire weapons, but also SRM4 variations. Should be pretty easy to jam barrels onto it though.

2021-05-27 08:16:33 +0000 UTCI love it. I'd be tempted to mod it to add some longer gun barrels to the shoulder guns on a miniature, but that wouldn't fit the 'historical look' very well. (and they're only machine guns) This one clearly fits the original, except for being 100% better in every way. Edit: I'll probably invest in a wider hex base for the mini.

2021-05-26 20:45:16 +0000 UTCI'm really enjoying how as we get more of these updated looks there's starting to be more like, common design elements across the different Mechs that makes them feel more realistic. Like this thing has some elements that look like a Warhammer got super beefy, around the cockpit and the torso. Each chassis is still unique, while also sharing that design language. Good stuff.

I'd love to get my hands on one and turn it into Bane 2. Should be a simple change to green-stuff one of the barrels in each arm and have four double barrel Ultra AC10s.
