Ostroc Concept Sketch

The Ostscout redesigned 5 years ago. Ostol was 10 months ago. Now the Ostroc is here to complete the oddball trio of egg mechs.
Because at this point I had the other redesigns, I leaned far more on referencing those two for details rather than sticking as close to the old art as possible. Going for a cohesive final set. You'll find stuff like the Ostol lasers reused, and Ostscout detail references on the upper legs. I also think the original art lower arms and fists looked a lot like the Archers, so I referenced the new Archer arms there.

If you're ever asked to do the OSR-3C, it'd be nice if the 3rd Large Laser could be mounted in the center torso...typo/messed up record sheets be damned.

2020-11-08 22:49:55 +0000 UTCOverall good, but I'd prefer some separation between the Large and Medium Lasers, per the original Ral Partha mini with indications of some ball socket articulation. The single piece cockpit viewport was one of the Ostoc's distinguishing features from the Ostsol as well. The blade-antennae are more fitting on the Ostsol as well, the Ostroc didn't really have any antennae. Glad the Osts are being updated by you and your team.

2020-11-03 05:50:26 +0000 UTCTorso and head I like. Arms I like the details, but feel too large for an Ostroc's arms. Lower leg/calves are probably iffiest IMO, but it's still a really solid update. Original was a 2/10, I'd give the update 6/10?
