Added 2020-10-18 06:08:56 +0000 UTCAh yes, the pack with the Kodiak, the mech that was accidentally removed and everyone demaded be put back, and then 4 other mechs that people actually voted to remove (and I agreed with removing) but then a few people demanded come back.
At this point in the campaign, near the end, our art team was already going to be utterly demolished, so what was one more to ice the cake of despair? :)

As a Jade Falcon player, I am happy that the Fire Falcon and Howler got included, but I definitely agree that the Kodiak was the only mech that is actually used enough to justify it being redone. That said they do all look excellent. The honeycomb look on the Hellion is definitely a standout to me, and I would have been curious to see where you took it if you were allowed to push it further.

2020-10-18 07:33:50 +0000 UTCI liked the old Hellion at a conceptual level, just not the art of it (Nothing on Plog's TRO art, but he was working from the FMCC art so...) but regardless this is a great improvement. And I love how your Fire Falcon redesign brings out how psychotically over-armed it is

2020-10-18 07:17:57 +0000 UTCA lot of people seem to like how the old Hellion looks, paper thin thighs ignored, but aren't sold on me beefing it up. Definitely one of my weaker redesigns but I think I would have had to go more drastic to improve it properly. Fire Falcon though, one I really enjoyed, and had already painted up years ago.
