Star League Relics

When your ride must look funky, be manufactured before you were born, and hand actuators are optional, look no further!

Bishop did a great job on the Lancelot design, and I like my chonky Crockett. Chris Lowrey sculpted them both.

Enjoy!

You made my day sir. Excellent work <3

Jordan G Roberts

So how many are left awaiting to be shipped off?

Robert Moore

I really like the Crockett. It does not really look like the old Crockett to me, but I have basically no attachment to that one so I just prefer this one.

Lexikon

thanks... and that's not even a very flattering angle, lol.

Benjamin Myers (Bishop Steiner)

it does have some WHM IIC feel in part from the SRMs.... perhaps the Clan Engineers took inspiration from the Crockett and melded it with the Warhammer when they designed the IIC? Both chassis were famously popular with the SLDF, after all.

Benjamin Myers (Bishop Steiner)

Gotta say, the Crockett is one of your better redesigns, up there with the Crusader. Drastic where needed, details kept where possible. Nicely done. Will be happy to see the other angles, even happier when I get my copy of the lvl II, probably in 2030? ;)

Benjamin Myers (Bishop Steiner)

The CT is still very rounded in a similar way to how the new Flashman is, but like the new Flashman, the big change is that the details are now in the form of layered plates rather than a single continuous slab. As Anthony said a lot of the old primary details are still there but they have been re-proportioned to fit a more cohesive aesthetic, since as charming as the original might look on the page, it was not a design that lent itself to practical 3D medium

Chris Lowrey

I didn't recognize the Crockett in this shot! I actually really prefer this new design (at least, from the angle provided). It gives it an almost Warhammer feel in the upper torso. I never hated the original, but I never loved it, either. It was just kinda... there... for me. This one? I'd have to claim a few for myself, I think!

Richard Powell

The Crockett may not be one of my faves but DANG you took what was originally a very meh design and elevated it to badass.

Tyler Erickson

Also, with these two mechs in, the Battle Level II is finished. Just the other 3 packs to go.

Anthony Scroggins

An impressive feat? Yes. One I would do quite this way? No. The speed at which we've done things runs the risk of getting too much into a certain design mode that limits variety. It's certainly happened to a degree here, with the later half of the campaign designs starting to have less variety in the small details and forms. Brain just doesn't have enough time to ruminate fresh ideas when it's so focused on efficiency.

Anthony Scroggins

2 Clan (Heavy Battle & Ad Hoc), 1 IS (Support), and 1 Comstar (Level II Battle) sets to go. How do you feel about the work you've done so far? An amazing achievement and so many amazing designs, you should be proud of it.

James Abbot-Cole

I am Commander Grognard and this is my favourite assault mech on this dropship. Nice.

Swen Decker

These look awesome. Now I need a second Comstar Lance... :'(

Stewart Spencer

Oh, I like the added bulk to the sides/arms/legs, huge improvement, its mainly the departure from the rounded torso front plating I think.

Andrew Dickinson

Now that's a Lancelot I'd field!~

I felt that was necessary for the design to be picked up by new players and others not driven by a nostalgic love for the design. A lot of the old details are still there, it's just the main shapes that have been reproportioned. Center torso is more oval than circle, with it's plate details exaggerated. Side torsos beefed up to support weapons better. Arms proportioned to match the rest. Legs not connected to a void of space :D

Anthony Scroggins

Maybe when all the 3D models are shipped off and we can breathe a bit. For now I'll just put out quick shots.

Anthony Scroggins

I like them, but the Crockett looks like a different mech. The torso feels like quite a departure from the original.

Andrew Dickinson

They look great, love the crockett

Mark D Booth

Fascinating. Great work there. Will we be able to see more angles of them?
