Blackjack Prototype Print

Here's another amazingly painted prototype print from Dale Eadeh.
So glad how the Blackjack came out every time I see it now. Looks so good in physical form. A chunky workhorse.
Looks like he's got coveralls on and red hat, ready to pick up a lunch pale and go to work.

I think mook mechs are underappreciated, often I think they have really cool and sleek designs, uninhibited by needing to fit a certain design mold and over detailing of the "hero mech".

I love it! Like you said, it retains the feel of the Blackjack while also having kind of a generic feel to it - a great workhorse or mook(depending on which side it's on) to bulk out a force!

Pretty sure they're in progress. Covid really threw a wrench in IWMs operations as they were required to shut down for a while.

Any news on when or if Ironwind metals will be putting out metal versions of the updated mechs? Especially the ones from the Game of Armored Combat core game?

I really like it, you can see the old style within the modern look.

Bj sculpt that demands the respect it deserves

yeah.. and it was all a smear campaign anyhow. On one hand I love the fluff...on the other, this looks better (IMO). *sighs*

no crime there. BH-O is criminally underrated, IMO

Some day, when home printing isn't a niche. If done right now it would decrease the physical sales of less popular mechs enough that it wouldn't be economical to make them in plastic/metal anymore, thus making them unavailable to anyone without a printer.
Printing is cool, just not mainstream and accessible enough yet.

Nah that's just me slapping a 2 month auto public on stuff so that I don't have to manually make it public later. Content usually gets a CGL public news release in around that time.

Anthony I notice that each post has a count down of 65 days early, is there going to be a big revel for all the models coming?

Actually it had narrow footpads and brittle armor, the QuickDraw had the bad ankles

An STL Patreon or CGL STL store would be awesome. Mechs could be made in America and not subject to the issues of Chinese manufacture.

Isn’t the BJ supposed to have thin ankles, that’s what gave it the (unfounded) Bad Reputation quirk?

Yeah. I mean current scale would work for me. Just the same thing as these high quality versions that Dale has been getting. Although I wouldn’t argue with 10mm.

Cool. I can only imagine that the IS Omnis are a long way down the to-do list

We did pull a little from the omni.

10mm scale resins would be cool IMO.

Very interesting there. Almost looks like a mix of elements from the original and Omni versions

Nice. I still wish there were a “professional series” or something for those who would pay more for higher quality. I do understand there wouldn’t be any money made, but I can still wish. Lol. Nice mini, btw.
