Thank you for your support!
Added 2020-05-20 02:06:14 +0000 UTCAmazing pledge growth the last 2 months. Welcome aboard to everyone that has signed on, and thank you to all those who have bumped up their pledges lately. Going from $1 to $2, or $2 to $4 really adds up when it's a crowd. What's extra impressive is how few have had to reduce their patronage due to the tough time we're going though, so I really appreciate everyone sticking around.
By the end of the year I expect we'll hit $1000/mo funding, at which point (combined with me managing to pay off all my final debts earlier this month) you'll be essentially paying my entire living, completing the patreon dream of turning art into a non-financial endeavor. It's awesome and you're all a critical part of that.
Anyone have feedback for how I'm running my page?
On the Battletech side I'll be able to wrap up my teams Kickstarter design and modeling efforts by the end of the year I think. KS designs in particular are getting very close to completion.
There will definitely still be BT stuff coming through after that, but likely at a much reduced pace.
What are your concerns, or what would you like to see as a Battletech fan on here that would keep you around post KS?
And for my Rangers Project fans, I'm sure it's an obvious "post stuff" for feedback on that front, but is there anything special you'd like to see since my art/lore book was largely completed?
I have that "Elemental mini art book" that was promised in my old book kickstarter that I need to assemble some day. Not sure if I should do something different with that, or just make it a quickie and move forward.
I'm generally unsure what to do with m Rangers Project stuff these days, as it was my go to personal art outlet, but these days I've found myself very content just doing Battletech and eventually commissioned work, with little motivation to escape to personal items.
But, thank you again! Your contribution has made someones world.

Maybe the occasional wallpaper sized image? I gather from your previous posts they are a lot more effort to put together, but I'd love the occasional image I could use. As for content, I know that I was drawn to Battletech because of the tank/spaceship/machine side of sci-fi, so I'd be interested in seeing designs like that.

2020-05-25 17:25:44 +0000 UTCI would love to see you continue to push out new art for mechs that didn’t make the kickstarter. If catalyst goes for another kickstarter later on, they’ll have a great place to start and the images, if approved by the higher ups, would help sell the kickstarter. If they don’t get used, then we have cool redesigns that people can 3d model for themselves.
2020-05-25 01:43:19 +0000 UTCAsk the art director time. I love the cover art of "Divided We Fall" (It's worthy of a poster), but the artist isn't credited in the book. Who did it? And while were at it, the Dominator is a quirky 'Mech at best but it looks simply amazing. Who designed it's appearance (I know Blaine did the stats), and is there any more art of it that you can share?

2020-05-21 14:23:34 +0000 UTCI almost forgot. Catalyst needs to put out IS Power Armor. Hope you get to work your magic.

2020-05-21 01:14:01 +0000 UTCWhen all the selected battlemechs are done I and I'm certain others are gonna want Catalyst to start putting out vehicles. So maybe start vehicle updates? Let me suggest 5 vehicles to start off with and please any readers who want to see updated vehicle miniatures feel free to add your thoughts and choices. So yeah, my 5 choices #1 Manticore tank #2 Bulldog tank along with dual AC/2 and LRM20 turrets, #3 Chevalier light tank, #4 Goblin ISF 3058 update and at #5 the Striker light tank AND its 3058 update.

2020-05-21 01:10:30 +0000 UTCyes this!
2020-05-20 20:34:14 +0000 UTCI'm just here for Battletech! You're putting a lot of effort on the redesigns :)

2020-05-20 20:09:17 +0000 UTCLike a lot of us, I'm here for the Battletech and hope it continues. Slower pace after the KS? Totally understandable. I'll stay as long as you're still posting. I hope they'll let you fill in the gaps between future redesigns by showing us some of the concepts that didn't make it (and why!), or at least progress images. Otherwise, show us what AC/5s look like across the range, or explain scaling, or cockpits, general-type posts like that. I love learning about the process.

2020-05-20 16:56:29 +0000 UTCAs long as you are happy working on BT stuff, please continue! I will second the sentiment that burn out is to be avoided,so maybe change it up with vehicles or something. Personally I would love to see VTOLs get an update, they I'm look extremely dated.
2020-05-20 16:00:51 +0000 UTCI'd be a fan of updating some other BT stuff - even if it's totally not canon. I've always thought the various space ship designs, aerospace and vehicle stuff was just as all over the board as the mech designs. Some great work, some not so much.

2020-05-20 15:52:08 +0000 UTCBe interested to see a new Hollander Design those are hillarious, at this rate you could do battletech for a while till you get bored then work on personal stuff the trick is not to burn out. for the time being there are plenty of variety in the sea of mechs. maybe even give Iron Wind metal a hand on some of the varients? At the end of the day make sure you're happy with what you do, this is good stuff you're churning out.

2020-05-20 04:47:57 +0000 UTCI would love to see the remaining OSTs mechs as well a redesign of the remaining Liao and Marik mechs the vindicator and the Hermès II, and the Wolf Dragoon’s mechs get a new face lift. Plus the Goliath and scorpion. For that I would up my pledge.

2020-05-20 04:32:53 +0000 UTCI hope you remain diversified. Personally I like the BT art. Perhaps post how much BT commissions would be for those interested?

2020-05-20 04:01:31 +0000 UTCThere are still a metric shit ton of ‘Mechs that need to be updated, so hopefully you keep plugging away at those. With the success of the KS, I gotta think CGL is considering possibly doing another. If you get a head start on the designs, that will only help improve the timeline for the next effort.
