There is so much more of it in today's digital era, and part of it is because a lot more people not only have the ability to read and write, but also access to post anything through social media without ramifications. Of course, the natural counterargument to Badeni's point is that misinformation is going to happen either way, as we clearly see in the whole premise of this show (that everything revolves around the Earth).

It's the 15th century and based on the amount of books there are it'd have to be beyond the second half,, the existence of the globe is also telling, and the fact that the map is drawn without the Americas means it was before Columbus returned from his travels. Idk if there is an actual answer but I'd guess somewhere between 1475-1490

Although a gatekeeper, Badeny may still change the comprehension of the universe for everyone. You can be imperfectly yourself, but still have a mission that will impact others.
