And I actually find that their more interesting to watch after watching this version of Sherlock - it's kind of like you're almost looking at reincarnations of the characters with each different version, I find it very cool seeing how each new Sherlock is interpreted.

You can get guns for hunting and a few other reasons, but it's not a common thing and is super restrictive. Even Lestrade wouldn't be able to just "bring a gun" as a detective. There's a special type of police who can use guns. Most people here will never see a gun in their lives.
